Positive: The best thing about Villa Stone was Mate the owner, butler, bellboy, chef and Gardner all rolled into one. We had a delicious grilled meat dinner and a yummy breakfast. The rooms are large and spacious surrounding by green rolls hills with sheep grazing. Quite idyllic.
Negative: The art could improve 🥰but that very personal, is it not.
Summary: Fabulous stay, great host. Comfortable rooms.

Positive: Everything was very easy from check in to check out. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable with all the amenities. The location was very close to Plitvice Lakes National Park entrance 1 (about a 10 min drive). The buffet style breakfast was delicious with multiple selections of fruit, eggs, meats, breads, cereal, juice, etc. The owner was a nice gentleman and very accommodating. He actually cooked dinner for us both nights and I appreciated his attention to detail for the guests. The dinner was amazing. We had the roasted meat mixed grill the first night with grilled vegetables which was cooked outside in their woodfired grill. The meal was so delicious, that we decided to eat there again the next evening. We ordered the lamb which was also cooked to perfection in the woodfired stove "under the bell" as they say. You will need to order this in advance as it takes a few hours to prepare...worth it! The pool was clean and refreshing especially after a long hike at the park. It was the first time that I had swam in a pool while watching sheep and goats graze in a field nearby. The country landscape views were enjoyable and relaxing. The price of the room and meals were reasonable and affordable. If my wife and I come back to Croatia, we will absolutely stay here again!
Summary: A beautiful country location that felt like home. I wish we stayed here longer!
