Positive: Beautiful views and garden. Quiet location (apart from barking dogs ). We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying in the villa. Quick and easy access to the beaches and Rerthymno town. Grocery shop (Lidl) just few minutes drive.
Negative: Beware the property is high up in the hills and there is narrow road so it looks a bit scary the first time but was quite easy once we got used to it. Would be good to have some pool towels. There was only white towels that were told not to use and had to buy our own. It’s not a big issue but since there is a swimming pool towels should be provided.

Positive: Privacy here is great, Pool is good, less bugs on the higher terrace although a pain to eat up there regularly. Good air con in all areas, Short drive to platanes resort. Overall all was good. important tips (1) it’s getting pretty rural here, DO NOT use google maps, it doesn’t work, you’ll drive round in circles for a long time as we did :) find EKO maroulas petrol station. At the back is a small dirt track to the villa gate. You won’t get here by car any other way & you do need a car. (2) shop at SYNKA, this is where the locals shop, Greeks and restaurants stock up is eating in a fair bit. Use mozzie repellant at the BBQ here, I got bitten there but bizarrely no where else around the villa. Nice stay overall with a 1 & 6 year old, a couple of baskets of eggs etc were a nice touch, thank you.
Negative: It takes a while to get to the local insects and wildlife, the crickets are LOUD and farm dogs opposite do bark. if you have messy kids I would advise washing the terraces down with the hose and brush a couple of times a day to minimise ants and other insects coming for it. Nothing was provided so be prepared to buy everything inc bin bags, washing liquid (no dishwasher etc) not a big deal really. A couple of minor maintenance issues I think for the price should be sorted ie both shower holders broken & could be fixed for a tenner.
Summary: Nice stay overall.
