Positive: An authentic Cretan experience, with the quiet and calm on the flanks of the hills of Pombia, in a beautifully renovated house, but still close to restaurants, shops and the sea... unbelievable experience where the lovely hosts Christos and Georgia even took us on a boat trip to a deserted beach where they presented us a Greek BBQ with traditional recepes. This was a holiday to never forget!

Positive: 1) Hosts: Looking for hosts who go all the way and beyond? Beyond efficient, beyond friendly, beyond charming and welcoming? Meet Georgia and Christos. They are the next level ! Also lightning fast to react, fix and help. Thanks for making our vacation even better! You were amazing! 10/10 2) Villa: luxurious, lacks nothing, absolutely perfect and spotlessly clean, including COMFORTABLE BEDS(!) 10/10 3) Location: Pombia is a lovely village with mostly locals and one great restaurant and one great bar. All locals meet there and know you after one day. Counting the tourists in the village? It´s only you! Counting the locals who know you day from day two and insist you join them for a beer or a Raki at the bar? 20+ and counting... 10/10 4) Value for money: maybe the most difficult and least objective criteria to rate. We loved it and would come back again without a doubt. Yes it is not the cheapest of villas, but for a good reason. I cannot imagine anybody regretting having come here. 10/10 5)The region: southern Crete (Matala/ Moires region) is - in our opinion - less touristic and more genuine than most other parts of Crete. Great beaches nearby. 10/10 Last comments: you absolutely need a rental car to move around and to get to the beaches. The access to the villa (the last 100m) is on VERY narrow streets/paths. Do not rent a Fiat Tipo (medium size) like we did. I recommend a compact rental car. Don´t say you were not warned... Should you book this Villa? This is a no-brainer. Life is too short. Yes, yes, you should!

Negative: Leaving after 3 weeks was hard, to say the least. We honestly cannot come up with any real negatives. Really!

Positive: Beautiful fully equipped villa with most spectacular views of valley and mountains. We enjoyed wonderful sunsets every evening from a lovely terrace. Villa is hosted by a lovely couple. They were embodiments of south cretan hospitality and eager to assist if anything was needed. Villa is elegantly decorated inside out. It is located in peacefull small village but there are several restaurants and mini market within walking distance.

Negative: We loved everything and have nothing bad to say. Small car is recommended due to tricky narrow road up to the villa through the village.
