Positive: Villa Pavone sits in a beautiful hillside location with sweeping views and the charm of a small medieval village, making it a good base for exploring Lucca and the Garfagnana. The apartments have rustic character, the pool looks inviting, and on-site parking, though on a slope, is convenient.

Negative: Our stay was less relaxing than expected. The pool area was often noisy with children and the hosts socialising, and the hot tub felt more like part of another rental. Facilities didn't match the online description with no coffee maker, oven, or dishwasher,and only a small portable shared BBQ hogged by the other occupants that was never cleaned and a fanciful listing of extras such as an ATM, shop,hair salon and spa that simply don’t exist on the property. There were 3 rentals on top of each other and noise carried easily between apartments, the mattress was very uncomfortable. Hosts smoking near guests was very unpleasant and contradicted the non-smoking policy stated. The recycling bins in the rental didn’t match the curbside system, so when we asked Ari about it we were left to sort through our rubbish ourselves on the side of the road. Perhaps arriving late after flight delays didn’t help, but the hosts came across as cold and sometimes overbearing, which set an unwelcome tone. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and may be better suited to families with children than to couples seeking peace and privacy.

Positive: The staff, the location—for me—and the washing machine! Additionally, the bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch. There are a pool and a sauna available, weather permitting! Free parking is always a plus. The views are spectacular!

Negative: The furniture, I.e., the sofa could use some updating. It is a little dilapidated right now.

Summary: For what we were looking to experience in this area of Italy, words just cannot describe the awesomeness; and…everything

Positive: The view and landscapes are absolutely stunning and the village of Coreglia Antelminelli is sympathetic and charming. We were a family of 11 people and we had rented all three apartments. The apartments are beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped. It was amazing to look at the mountain scenery from the jacuzzi. The host Arie and his spouse were very friendly and professional. Communicating with them was always nice and stress-free and they gave us great travel tips (for example restaurant and winery recommendations and tips on where to park on a day trip to Lucca).

Positive: A fabulous stay at Villa Pavone. We were well looked after by the host who had great local knowledge. The views from the Villa were amazing. Loved having the pool… could totally relax. A gorgeous village with lots of history away from all the tourists.

Positive: Spacious two bedroom apartment with access to a fantastic pool and hot tub in an absolutely stunning location. The additional bathroom was a massive bonus when travelling as a family, The hosts were really welcoming and provided us with lots of useful information and tips for great places to visit that we wouldn't have found ourselves. There were two restaurants and a bar within easy walking distance, plus a small supermarket selling lots of essential practically next door.

Negative: Nothing. Any small issues or requests were quickly resolved by the attentive hosts.

Positive: Arie and Annemieko our hosts have a fantastic property in a great location. They are great hosts and I strongly recommend following there suggestions. We stayed in the ground floor apartment for two and it’s very spacious / comfortable and has everything you need . The pool is a good size and the Views !! The views are fantastic. The village a minute walk - supermarket - two restaurants and bar Roma. It was a great find and we recommend highly

Positive: It's very small quiet town and all local people were super nice. We got amazing apartment that had fireplace and one of the rooms had amazing view. Host was super helpful and nice.

Negative: One of the rooms had a bed that tended to squeak when you were lying and turning around on it.
