This well thought out Villa, with all accommodation on one level, has been designed to make holiday living as uncomplicated as it should be. With a colour palette chosen to harmonize with the land/seascape, the interior is pared back yet comfortable and practical. Step through the sliding doors onto the terrace and the eye-catching infinity pool, surrounded by quality sun beds, awaits. Location Megala Chorafia
Just 10 mins walk up the hill or maybe a little longer, (it’s fairly steep so sigar, sigar - slowly slowly in Greek) is the village of Megala Chorafia, catering well for the holiday maker, there’s a well stocked mini market and three tavernas. If you prefer to drive, you follow the one way road downhill then back up again but walk or drive it’s a short and easy return journey.
Although the village has everything you need, Villa Nikos is very well placed to explore the island further, being just a couple of minutes drive from the North Coast Road. The quiet beach at Kiani is an easy 3 mins drive, the buzzing little resort of Kalives (https://www.freelancevillas.com/armeni-kalives-villas/) 5 mins and Chania (https://www.freelancevillas.com/chania-villas/) Venetian Harbour front is less than 30 mins away.
For a change of scene and some excellent freshly caught fish - head for Souda, just 10 mins away and very popular with the locals.

Summary: Infinity pool is great. Modern comfortable furnishings including smart TV and DVD player. View of Souda Bay simply gobsmacking. Poorly secured toilet seats .

Summary: Amazing views, quiet location, great walking distance restaurants. Would recommend some guidelines for guests to not encourage cats on property. We had one who was extremely aggressive wanting to come into the house and bit my daughter, who was in no way encouraging it. Another we found sleeping on the outdoor sofa in the mornings.

Summary: The villa was immaculate and well equipped with 3 tavernas and a local shop a short walk up the hill, so convenient. Lots to see in Suda Bay when lounging in the pool or patio. So relaxing.

Summary: The villa was even more beautiful than the pictures. Super clean. Everything you want provided for. The host was very organised and responded to any enquiries we have immediately. We will definitely be back :) Maybe just add a short guide on using the air con units and what to do if they dont switch on etc :) (i.e open and close the windows again etc). But otherwise everything else was perfect

Summary: The villa was well equipped, and very comfortable, lovely pool. It should be made clear to guests that the noise from the main coastal road and the secondary road adjacent to the villa is relentless and extremely intrusive.

Summary: Perfect villa and location for visiting Crete. Freelance villas were professional from start to finish. All the info prior to arrival was very helpful and we referred to the manual many times during our 12 day stay. We really enjoyed the fact that we could walk up to the restaurants in the village - our favorite being the Taverna Aptera. It would be helpful if there was a map of the island plus pen and paper. I was chilly at night so a light blanket in the cupboard. You could add Kanakis Olive Mill (local traditional products) to the manual .
