Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: - Beautiful and clean pool, refreshing cool temperature which was much needed for a hot day - Calm environment and good decoration; most of the large windows had fly screens - Only 5 shallow steps at the entrance and a staircase to the rooftop terrace (we didn’t use it); the rest of the villa is step-free - Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and cutlery; fridge and freezer were large and worked brilliantly - Dish soap and sponge were provided - Beds were perfectly made with nice clean bed sheets; mattresses were comfortably firm and bed frames were sturdy wood, not creaky or wobbly - Quiet at night, easy to get to sleep - Nice area, close to everything

Negative: - Empty hand soaps in bedrooms; should be at least 1/4 full - Only two small towels per room; should be at least 2 large and 1 small. Luckily we brought our own towels - Many ants in all rooms; should apply preventative treatment/killer before guests arrive because we had to go round spraying and cleaning everything ourselves - Bedroom floors were very dirty, not sure why? Kitchen floors were clean so someone cleaned the kitchen but not the bedrooms - BBQ is very dirty and in an unusable state; this should be removed from the property features list as it needs replacing - No hot tub as seen in photos; host told us some people tried to bathe with soap in the hot tub so it was removed - this facility and its photos should removed from the listing as it is currently misleading. - Messaged owner via WhatsApp and queries/issues raised were not always followed up and I was left on read - Please add fly screens to all windows; the kitchen fly screens were broken and flies were all over the food during meal times. Local shops did not sell fly repellent so the flies were a constant nuisance - A basic guide to the best of the area would be appreciated, eg, a laminated booklet with essential shop locations, recommended restaurants etc or even just an email with this info would make us feel more welcomed - Plastic kitchen table cover was torn in a few spots making it tricky to clean before and after meals; a new one wouldn’t cost much - cobwebs visible across the villa; a quick dusting would remove them - cockroach jumped out of the oven when I opened it; probably worth cleaning the oven before guests arrive - some light switches aren’t working/don’t appear to be connected to any lights; bit confusing.
