This beautiful villa with amazing views of the Ionian Sea is located in the heart of the wild nature of the south of Lefkada Island. It combines total privacy and freedom with breathtaking sunsets for you and your family to enjoy. The name Mirtes comes from the location of the villa, between the world famous beaches of Porto Katsiki and Egremni Beach.
This stunning villa called Villa Mirtes is built with respect for its surroundings and the best materials available, combining traditional with modern style. It is located close to the village of Athani where it seems like time has stopped and traditions are kept.
In the village you can find a grocery store and several great tavernas with local traditional food for every taste.
The villa that lays gracefully in between the lush greenery, has three big master bedrooms with private bathrooms giving you full privacy with authentic high standards. The fully equipped, modern open plan kitchen and kitchen island dining area are ideal for lovely dinners with family and friends. From the kitchen area you walk into the beautifully decorated living area that has a great view over the Ionian Sea, and is fitted with flat screen TV and Bluetooth stereo system. There is an extra guest WC on the ground floor.
The glass doors lead you to the big salt filtered swimming pool of dimensions 8x4 that is equipped with massage jets and with depth 1.80m. The 4500sqm land surrounding the villa is fully fenced with an electric gate and beautifully landscaped with swingbeds, pergolas, luxury sunbeds and a big BBQ ready for you to be used. At the back of the villa there is a private parking area with space for more than five cars.

Thanks to the location you can enjoy chilly mornings before the summer heat appears. It is far away from the crowded areas of the island giving you absolute privacy and quiet yet close enough to the most desirable locations of the island. Please note that the last meters to arrive to the villa is non-asphalted dirt road.
Kindly be advised that the owner of the villa has done all necessary proactive disinfestation, always in line to the environmental laws for the protection of the natural life. However the property is located within the beautiful natural surroundings and contact with insects or small animals (eg stray cats, mice, reptiles, flies, mosquitos, ants etc) cannot always be prevented.

Summary: The villa was lovely, quiet, comfortable, and private. The view was breathtaking, with a delightful garden and beautiful pool, but cold still in mid May . It was an oasis in a stressful noisy world. We stayed 17 nights but weren’t ready to go home.

Summary: Villa Mirtes was total paradise. The view is incredible, it is blissfully quiet, and the house is gorgeous. You feel like you are in a dream. Excellent location 10-20 minutes from Porto Katsiki, Egremni Beach, and about a 10 minute drive to the charming village of Athani. Some of our favorite restaurants were in Athani. Anna and Melanie and the entire team at Lefkada Rentals were fantastic-they gave us a very warm welcome when we checked in, and fantastic recommendations about restaurants and beaches on Lefkada. All of their recommendations were spot on. They even booked us at Rachi twice because we loved the restaurant so much we wanted to go back! Excellent customer service. We will definitely be coming back!

Summary: Beautiful villa located in a secluded spot with incredible (sunset) views across the Ionian Sea. Unfortunately, as wonderful as the villa is, the overall maintenance was not commensurate with the standard expected of a villa at this level. From the fact that there was only a single fine wine glass (the others being small with thick glass some of which were some chipped), to faulty electronics (hob and snackwich machine), a soiled roasting pan in the oven, an infinity pool with a filter that only worked a couple of days on the trot to having get to ask for the grass to be cut because it was so overgrown. Furthermore, the exterior furniture in the photos did not reflect what was actually there. We also had no broadband for a few days, but I believe that was an issue with the service provider. All these things are minor issues that could easily be addressed, but frankly when you are paying this type of money for 2 weeks, one should not have to experience this. I will say however, that Lefkada Rentals and the owner was very attentive when we had needed help and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. If you get your maintenance right, you will have a incredible property worth of the rates you are charging and which I would then highly recommend.
