Positive: Maud is a lovely host. She met us when we arrived and showed us around. Her home was centrally located so we could visit Middleburg, wineries, and breweries. In advance, she sent a list of recommended restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Her recommendations were excellent. We paid extra for breakfast, and she cooked us a large, delicious breakfast.

We stayed in the Monet Suite, which is as well-appointed as it is inviting. The room is adorned with stunning, skillfully painted portraits and landscapes, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and deeply personal. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing, rejuvenating getaway. And while the accommodations were exquisite, one of my wife’s favorite moments had nothing to do with fine linens or gourmet breakfasts—it was meeting Tim McGraw, the charming donkey in the neighboring field who eagerly accepted her head scratches. We may have come for the luxury, but we left with a new four-legged friend. We’re already looking forward to our next stay at Villa Maud. It’s a rare place that blends elegance with genuine warmth so effortlessly, and we can’t wait to return.

Positive: We didn't get breakfast, which was one weird part, as we thought it was a bed and breakfast.

Negative: Not much I didn't like, other than maybe a little far from either of the two towns in the area.
