Positive: Stayed in same room as our last visit. Amazing view. 1 one lake and 1 on mountains and lake Amazing. Greate breakfast including made to order eggs, delicious!!! Staff is amazing. Treated us like family. Already panning our return!!!

Negative: We could have used a little better lighting in the bathroom.

Positive: Elisabetta was excellent, a warm and friendly but professional host. Very good local knowledge.

Negative: Room slightly noisy, but we were three and so did not have lake view rooms which would have been quieter.

Summary: Ballena is a good place to stay. Casa Marina excellent, would definitely recommend.

Positive: Manuela was an amazing hostess, willing to answer any and all queries and to accompany us in our trip to Bellano. The view was incredible - Lake Como just outside your window. Even were you to not opt for a room with a view, you can nevertheless enjoy the views from the terrace in the morning. Indescribable views! The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have had yet - fresh local products and on-demand extras. Manuela did an amazing job in making our stay as memorable as possible.

Negative: The airconditioning had a bit of difficulty although the building is a protected landmark and it was unusually hot during our stay (33 degrees.)

Positive: The villa was beautiful and in a lovely, serene village on Lake Como. It was ideal to rest and recharge our souls with the gorgeous atmosphere. Our host Alice was AMAZING! She went out of her way to see to every detail and helped plan our two outings. She was cheerful and efficient — never being put out by our requests. I cannot recommend Villa Marina and its superb staff highly enough. We adored our stay. Mille Grazie, Alice!
