Positive: Our week at Villa Luzo & Tours was truly one of the most beautiful and best vacations of our lives. Our expectations were exceeded in every possible way. The villa itself and the views from the jetty are breathtakingly beautiful. The food, lovingly prepared by Debbie and June, was a delight every single day: fresh, varied, and incredibly tasty. And then the tours… what an experience! Under the fantastic guidance of tour guide Christian, we had the time of our lives. We discovered stunning places, and the snorkeling was absolutely magical. The warmth, the hospitality of all the staff, the atmosphere, and the unique mix of relaxation and adventure made this trip truly unforgettable. We 100% recommend Villa Luzo & Tours and would gladly return in a heartbeat. An absolute must for anyone seeking a paradise-like experience filled with personal attention and unforgettable moments.

Positive: Truly a breathtaking location. Your own little slice of paradise. Quiet, secluded and serene. On top of that you have the incredible Debbie cooking some of the most delicious Indonesian food for you three times a day - a real treat.

Positive: The villa is beautiful, made to such a high standard and very connected to nature and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful, thank you to June, Robi, Debbie and the cleaner (sorry we didn’t catch your name). June and Debbie told us they had recently learned English and it was very good. Bikes were arranged for us before we got there and we were given tips and guidance on how to get a boat to kali biru. The drive to Kali Biru was stunning. They also helped us with the bikes when we had a problem. Taxis were arranged for us, you can’t fault the service. The food was nice. The location is great, easy to get to the main town and the ferry and a nice place to relax over the water with a hammock. The room was very comfortable and the place overall is stunning. Thank you!

Negative: We understood that we had reserved the whole villa, and there were no other guests there, but we didn’t anticipate that there would be other people in the villa regularly. We thought we would have it to ourselves, but there were people coming and going regularly who I think worked for luzo, sometimes bringing things in, or just being there maybe waiting. It seems the common area is like a reception type thing for staff, and our bathroom opened out onto the kitchen, where there were often people there which was a bit awkward after showering. We had to be mindful of what we were wearing etc. We were also woken up by a knock at the door one morning to let someone in who we hadn’t met before, and one evening staff were there until later when we were hoping to sleep. We let them know I was vegetarian in advance but this seemed a surprise to the chef, so there wasn’t an alternative for the first couple of meals. If we had known in advance that the villa wouldn’t be private, we would have different expectations, but as it was we were hoping for privacy in our last 2 days in Raja Ampat, but we didn’t get that and couldn’t fully relax knowing people were coming and going. As nice and helpful as everyone was, it would have been nice to understand that it’s a room in a villa with staff on site a lot of the time, rather than exclusively for us.

Positive: To start, the villa is gorgeous. Set back in the mangroves, it is truly private and secluded. Everything in the villa has high standards, from the bedding to the shower, air conditioning, etc. It was spotless and everything is very well maintained. The kitchen/living room are open to nature, allowing me to enjoying laying in the jungle on the hammock. Fast internet, hot showers and 24 hr electricity are difficult to find in Raja Ampat and the villa has it all! You can also buy beer/whiskey, etc at the villa for a nice end-of-the-day drink. Food: I had home cooked Indonesian meals every evening. The chef, Dorce, was not only excellent, but gave me her recipes and let me help cook! The breakfasts were European with extra touches such as the cappuccino machine. They also accommodated my food requests as I’m a rather picky eater;) Tours: I booked snorkeling tours every day of my stay. The boat operators and snorkel guide were outstanding! Helpful, good eyes for spotting the difficult fish, and very punctual!! (Rare in Indonesia). Every tour was truly a full day with up to 5 snorkels. I saw everything on my list, plus a lot more! There is also the possibility to snorkel the home reef in fronting the villa. Things I loved: absolute comfort, privacy and luxury. 100% transparency about prices with NO hidden charges. Excellent communication and flexibility when planning tours. Thank you Remko, Caressa, and the entire staff at Luzo for making my trip absolutely unforgettable!!! I’ll be back!
