Positive: Staying at Villa Lachesi was truly one of the most delightful stays on our recent trip to Sicily! Giovani and his parents, Giovana and Vincenzo, were the most wonderful hosts one could have imagined. Their farmstay is in a delightful rural location outside Caccamo. The facilities are clean, neat, tidy and so well taken care of. This is a great place for individuals, couples and families. Villa Lachesi is very kid-oriented, too, with plenty for little people to do. But, more than anything, it's the people--the hosts. The family took great care of us, were so warm and caring, gave great suggestions for things to see and do in the area, and personally took us into town to locate the historic hospital, churches, and connecting us to assistance in the Civil Registry Office--all critical in our ancestry search. We sincerely thank our incredible hosts. This was a trip of a lifetime for us and our stay at Villa Lachesi was a memory we will never forget!

Negative: The property is adjacent to a road and in Italy half of the driving population (including nans) think they are Giancarlo Fisichellas and Valentino Rossis. It can be deafening at times.

Positive: This is a very picturesque property with a lovely garden set in beautiful hilly Sicilian countryside. Our room, bathroom, living room/ kitchen area were very comfortable and spotless. The garden was absolutely charming with old olive trees, fig tree, mimosa and other Mediterranean plants. There are beautiful views of the hills. There is also a lawn with pool in summer and a spa area with sauna and jacuzzi. Sadly we did not have time to try these out. We are very grateful to Giovanni and his lovely parents for preparing us a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave very early to catch a ferry. Caccamo castle nearby is a magnificent Norman castle dating back to 1100. The property also has a secure car park with a locking gate. Many thanks. We would highly recommend. Isabelle and Mark

Positive: Excellent stay in the hills outside Caccamo. The hosts are a family, Giovanni and his parents Giovanna and Vincenzo. Outstanding hosts making sure all your questions are answered and know all there is to inow about the area and restaurants worth visiting. The house is super clean and has all the ameneties you could ask for. Homely feel. And the breakfast is prepared by Giovanna and is also locally sourced in Caccamo. So great! We were lucky to be there on the same day as the family were taking their olives from the garden to the local olive pressing plant. So we got to see the whole process. Thanks for a lovely stay in your beautiful house in the hills of Caccamo!
