Positive: If you are looking for a quiet retreat then look no further. The accommodation has everything you need that you don't need to leave your private pool nestled under the backdrop of amazing scenery. An excellent fish restaurant, Canadian pizza and numerous taverna's are a 5 minute walk as is a friendly supermarket.The supermarket stocks anything you may need with covered outside seating where you can pass the time of day striking up a conversation with the locals.Our husband and wife hosts gave 100% service dealing with a small issue immediately and communication via email was received and replied to without delay.

Positive: What a gem! This place was so special for us both. Surrounded by olive trees, aloe plants, mountains and with a view of the sea, it was so peaceful. Maria and Michalis were great hosts, messaging regularly to make sure we didn't need anything. We stayed for 9 days and wished we'd have stayed a full month. The dogs and cat on the property greeting us on the balcony every morning were a bonus! There was a clean and functional kitchenette that made it easy for us to cook every day. The shower was exceptional - with 3 jet options to choose from! Short distance walk from the beach - and about an hour walk to Elafonisi beach (we love to walk), and very close to a lovely monastery. The road to get to this area of Crete is a bit scary but oh so beautiful! Local restaurants were great too! Extra bed was great, this little cottage would be perfect for families.

Negative: The only thing we did not appreciate was the bed, but upon speaking with the owners about it, it was said it would soon be changed. There was a spare bed-couch in the living room so my partner slept there a few nights when he felt his back was in need of a firmer mattress.

Positive: I was very close to the Church as i needed to be for the dates booked very quiet and peaceful great satellite tv and kitchen washing faccilities close to Elafonissi beach and the hosts were amazing and very welcoming

Negative: beds hard and lumpy ,1 air-condition running 2 rooms and sitting aria toilet not flashing and water pressure poor sofa bed has wire sticking when you sit was not able and allowed to use the main pool only allowed for small poon 3meters wide by 4 meters long

Positive: Very nice and kind hosts. 2 rooms with a kitchen and bathroom, space outside to relax and a tiny pool.

Negative: A mix of styles, both old stone-house and modern mismatch. Squeaky bed frame, old closet, the pool is so small it’s only useful for small kids. The details inside are poor quality, finish touches without care.

Positive: Beautiful house with tonnes of atmosphere in good location near Elafonisi and some other beaches. Comfortable and spacious.

Negative: The pool needs some serious maintenance, the deck is uneven and splintered, the stairs are hanging loose and swing when you get on them,the garden is part dirt part long grass, and half the pricacy screens are missing. Also maybe due to being the highest set house in the area, it is very windy around the house, coming from all sides at once. You can't open a window or door partly, because there are no hooks to secure them. Also there is a very pushy cat (and we love cats) that will push or sneak his way in, also when you're about to head out. The kitchen smelled of cat urine, so he probably does that all the time. Not enough parking space, we thought being a house this would be no issue, but at some times there would be 3 other cars on our doorstep.

Positive: The country house was beautiful and traditional with plenty of space. The outside area was amazing with swimming pool, sun loungers, table chairs etc. incredible views all around of mountains, greenery and the sea. Friendly cats came to greet us everyday. The location is perfect if you want peace & tranquility and nature. The hosts are lovely people & gave us walking directions to get to two local little coves which were stunning & not touristy. Since neither of us drove they were very kind to drop us off to elafonissi beach & picked us up afterwards. We are thoroughly grateful for their hospitality. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place.

Negative: There’s nothing that we didn’t like apart from not being able to stay longer!!
