Villa within a farm owned, possibility to visit the winery and wine tasting. Proximity to Verona, Airport, Lake Garda and Gardaland. Villa dei Cipressi is surrounded by greenery, on the top of a hill overlooking the Valpolicella on one side and Lake Garda on the other.
The Lilli rooms are 2 large rooms, equipped with bed linen, and are located on the first floor of the villa, the windows overlook the inner garden of the estate. In each there is a double bed, for a total of 4 beds. The Lilli rooms have a shared mini-fridge where you can keep the delights you have purchased in the surroundings. They have a shared bathroom which is accessed by a private corridor for exclusive use; the bathroom, with window, is equipped with shower / bath and hair dryer, towels, shower towels, shampoo, shower gel and soap.
For your breakfast is available, on the ground floor veranda in the common area: a Nespresso coffee machine and sweets monoporzione. No use of kitchen. If you want a more substantial breakfast a few meters from the house there is a bar where you can have a rich breakfast and more. We require a security deposit of 100 euros to be paid locally.

Summary: The house is quite lovely being an estate in the countryside. The rooms are furnished sparingly with old furniture. But note that it is also rented out for parties, so when we were there, we didn’t feel appropriate using the back lawn or the main house, so we were effectively stricken to our room, which didn’t have any seating. Also, beware “extra guest charges.” We rented two rooms with two double beds for four people (one of which was a child), and were charged an extra fee for two people because the owner claims they take up “more water and more linens.” And it was to the tune of €70/person/night, so it’s not a small fee. Ironically enough, one day we didn’t have hot water for the whole day and the sink was running the entire time. While you have to expect that to happen in an old house in Italy, you’d also think the owner would comp us in some manner given the extra guest charges were for water use! At the very least, offer us a glass of wine (they own a vineyard after all!). Instead, when I inquired about the extra guest fee after we checked out, she actually told me that I left without paying for wine glasses my husband asked to borrow or the coke she gave my son! Also note, the listing said there was breakfast available. There wasn’t. Just espresso. And finally, if you’re traveling with pets, note that the owner said after I left that she “allowed” me to bring my pet in our room but that that was an exception. I inquired about bringing our dog and was told I could. I’m not entirely sure where the owner would have liked me to keep my dog. Outside? Maybe he could have attended the parties? :) All in all, it’s a lovely estate, but it’s a pity that the owners aren’t reasonable or forthright about what would actually be available. They also generally make you feel like you’re not welcome in the home, so I wouldn’t recommend staying.

Summary: Superb. Thanks for the hospitality at your gorgeous estate. We have enjoyed everything. The garden, the view, the vineyards, the house. Everything just perfect.

Summary: The place was exactly as we imagined looking at the photos and even more. Old villa with a history where we felt like home. What we did not expect is the how big and beautiful the whole property and vineyard is. Owned by wonderful and welcoming people. Located perfectly between Verona and Lake Garda in proximity to all the places we wanted to visit. We will come back to this place again for sure.
