Summary: A group of 8 Americans traveling to Normandy to explore, practice speaking French and enrich ourselves in the history of WW2. The house was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed cooking meals together. We took several day trips, including Honfleur, Mont Saint-Michel and a tour of D-Day beaches and WW2 cemeteries, et al. The view from the house was gorgeous and the sounds of the water were hypnotizing. We did have concerns with communication before we arrived. I had difficulty with someone responding to me from this location via VRBO, even after I booked. Email was better but not prompt. Upon checkin we were advised that 1 of the 2 hot water heaters was broken. Water leaked all over the laundry room the entirety of our stay. I would need to mop it up several times a day. Water remained pooled in the floor for 7 days. At the end of our stay, appliances, blinds, outlets and a toilet were not working. I communicated this to the the owners. It appeared to me there was a connection to the hot water heater. The response I received insinuated my group and I did something in the house to trigger the electrical problem. Upon checkout, the house keeper and her husband came by to collect the keys and inspect the house. Her husband was able to fix the electrical problem. They were kind and reassuring. We enjoyed the house while it was working. We were disappointed by the communication and appliance malfunctions and lack of consideration from the owners.

Summary: Villa de la plage 🙂 Excellent location right by the sea, in a very quiet area and within a short distance to the main sights. Comfortable, well-equipped house, tastefully decorated. Lovely bright sitting room, jacuzzi was a nice bonus. Overall, we would highly recommend this property!

Summary: Villa de la plage Had a lovely stay and the hot tub was a big hit with the children. Quiet location, but convenient to all the sites we planned to visit. Only one restaurant in the village which opened on Friday and Saturday evening but unfortunately was fully booked during our stay. Kitchen was well equipped and house was very spacious perfect for large family’s or groups.

Summary: Villa de la plage Large and cozy home with a perfect location for DDay landing touring. The kitchen is small so we couldn’t have too many cooks in the kitchen. Lots of room for our group of 12 and the spa was a nice way to end the evening. Would recommend to anyone travelling this area.

Summary: Villa de la plage "We had a fantastic and memorable stay here. The location is amazing, looking right out into the beach. The house is great and so well set up for families - we were a big party with three children and they loved the house - especially the table football, and swings. The house is ideally placed to visit the many museums commemorating D-Day, with the British Memorial only a few minutes drive away and a very special place to visit for us. There is a fantastic bakery in the village - their pain au chocolat were amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
