Positive: Villa da Eva was the quintessential Italian villa, a mix of old and new, beautiful gardens and off the beaten path. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and there were many outdoor spaces to relax. We were under a two hour drive from all of the places we wanted to see in surrounding areas, Florence, Siena, Cortona, Assisi. Our hosts were very attentive and helped with any questions we had, their recommendations for dining and sightseeing were spot on. We would love to come back!

Negative: The heaters upstairs weren’t working so well.

Positive: We can definitely recommend Villa da Eva. Rather than looking for the cheapest place around, we wanted something unique, and this villa was more than worth the money. It’s a beautiful old property — we loved the cosy interior design, which preserved some traditional features. The place was spotless, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The host was always helpful with our requests, such as providing an extra bed for the kids and accommodating our late arrival. The pool was well maintained and offered beautiful views of the valley, and we also really enjoyed the well-kept, green surroundings. The location is charming, with many small, picturesque towns nearby to explore. We also took day trips to San Marino, Assisi, and Florence, all of which are within easy reach from the villa and are highly recommended.

Negative: We would have liked more sockets around the beds for phone charging, etc.

Summary: This holiday exceeded our expectations and we will return next year.
