Positive: The villa is absolutely stunning. The downstairs area seems unchanged from hundreds of years ago with a lovely massive living room, a beautiful courtyard and rustic decoration, with upstairs being extended and rejuvenated for modern comfort. The outside area is amazing, with good sun cover throughout the day with the trees providing some shade cover as well. The hosts Lino and Shawn are extremely responsive and happy to provide recommendations for Malta. They helped us in arranging a boat trip which was thoroughly enjoyed by the group. There is a 24 hour shop located a 1 minute walk from the Villa, with a supermarket around a 5 minute walk away.
Negative: We had 2 nights without air-con as the system had broken. Hosts were extremely apologetic, had a workaround of providing fans for the second night and the system was then fixed for the third night. In relation to air conditioning, please be aware that this is not included as part of the booking fee for the Villa and is provided through coin payment on a meter. The host, Lino, seems to live above the villa and both Lino and Shawn occasionally dropped by unannounced to check that everything was okay, we sometimes felt we had less privacy than expected. Although clearly well-intentioned, we would have preferred advance notice before visits.

Positive: The villa was stunning and really well laid out and there was so much space, you could have family time but alone time too. The conversion and history was amazing along with the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. The kids loved the pool with the different lights and jacuzzi and they had great fun. Also had beach towels which was a plus. There was a full sized table tennis table which was also good fun. Location was really good and situated in a beautiful place. Shops were extremely close and it also had advantage of it being open 24 hours a day. They had bbq facilities as well however due to the weather we never got a chance to use this. The owner even bought and delivered us a birthday cake for someone in our party which was delicious.

Positive: An absolutely wonderful, carefully restored, huge house with all the comforts you can imagine. There is everything you'll need in this character property, restored with care and offering all the modern amenities. The garden/pool area is heavenly and even better than the photos The host is extremely welcoming and helpful. The villa is situated in a quiet village with some shops (including a 24/7 convenience shop down the corner of the road) and restaurants (take away Kaian is excellent for doner, pizza and salads). You'll find all the basics here or, a short drive away, you'll find livelier town and tourist hotspots.
Negative: The only thing worth mentioning is that the private parking is small and a very tight fit to get into.
Summary: Heavenly pool/garden in a wonderful, restored old house.

Positive: It's a beautiful property with a salt pool. A 24 hr shop at the corner of the road. Shawn [ the hosts representative ] was very pleasant and friendly, and always happy to help with any problems.
Negative: No towel or bedding change for the whole 10 days we were there, we had to wash our own bedding and towels. As there were only 3 tea towels and quite a lot of dishes ect because there was 9 of us I had to wash those daily. The throws on the sofas were smelly and needed washing , the mattresses on the beds were rock hard and only 3 bedrooms have Air/Con. Not all of the bedrooms had an en suite either . Cushions on the sofa were torn and scruffy. Not something I expect for a property that costs almost £500 per day. The stairs are quite steep , so it's not for the faint hearted or disabled. No cleaning was carried out either inside or out during our entire stay. The bar b que is fit for the bin , there was no cushions [ as shown in pics ] on the sun beds and the kitchen utensils, crockery ect are scruffy, cracked , old and need replacing. The wifi only works downstairs. There was no hot water and the pressure was non existent making it impossible to have a bath.
Summary: Pleasant but wouldn't return.

Positive: During our stay from July 20 to 28 in villa buddha in Malta, we enjoyed a great vacation with 10 friends. The villa was stunning and the surroundings offered peace and beauty that we really enjoyed. An unexpected highlight of our trip was attending the local festi, a traditional celebration where the entire village is beautifully decorated and spectacular fireworks are set off. We knew nothing about this beforehand, which made the experience extra special. The locals were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to explain about the festi or help with other matters. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Shaun, who informed us in detail about the villa and practical matters such as turning off the pool lights at night and taking out the trash on the appropriate days. The host, Lino, stayed above the villa and was always available for questions. He even prepared a delicious pasta for the ten of us once and made sure the villa and bedrooms cleaned and tidied mid-week. We were immensely grateful for his kindness and hospitality. Lino was discreet and respectful, yet always available to check if everything was to our liking and to offer suggestions for activities and sights in the area. His presence made our vacation extra enjoyable and carefree. As for practical matters, it is good to know that not every room in the villa has air conditioning. Although there are fans, the air-conditioned rooms are a lot more comfortable in hot temperatures. In addition, the beach beds are somewhat fragile, so some caution is required. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Malta and thank Lino, Shaun and the accommodation for an unforgettable vacation.
