Summary: We highly recommend Villa Begonia for Tuscany travelers. The house is new, very quiet, very well equipped, very modern -- and everything works wonderfully well. We stayed a full month, with a variety of guests each week. Everyone loved the home, property and hosts. The host is an engineer and the home was designed and built in 2003-2005 with the highest quality products. The kitchen, as well as the outdoor entertaining space, are perfect for family or communal dinners. We even used the outdoor wood-burning oven. And the pool is new, pristine, and surrounded by an acre of fruit trees and roses. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation! Montelupo Fiorentino itself is a charming small town (about 14,000 residents) and shop owners and staff were very friendly, as well as willing to chat in Italian, with those of us practicing the language (though they all could speak English, also). We really enjoyed being in a small town that was easy to navigate and very close to the house. We were off somewhere almost every day, either by train to Florence, Bologna or Siena, or by car to wander through the hills to wineries and remote villages. The restaurants in the area are excellent, and the grocery store is close at hand for supplies. We will definitely return for our next Tuscan vacation! The host and hostess are delightful people who were extremely welcoming and helpful, whether it was making restaurant reservations, providing directions, or educating us on where to shop or visit in the area. Summary: Villa Begonia is very well maintained and equipped by the owners. It is near to the highway which makes travelling to all the tourist sites very easy and convenient. The owners, who live on-site in an attached house, are the most hospitable and helpful people you can find. They went out of their way to help and it makes the holiday so much better. I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Begonia.

Summary: We all loved Villa Begonia. The owners lived above us and were on hand to answer questions, give directions and even provide rides to the train station. On the final night, our hostess cooked a two pasta dinner for us gratis. We all thought it was the best meal we had in all of Italy. The villa has terraces and gardens that we enjoyed as well as the pool. I would highly recommend to anyone else who are in need of a villa that accommodates 12-13 people. The assistance by staff of Summer in Italy was great during the period leading up to our stay. We did not need them while there as the owners were so accommodating.

Summary: We enjoyed Villa Begonia very much! The villa was in a very good order, simply excellent. Davide [the owner] and his lovely wife made us feel very welcome. He was very kind and assisted us quickly with every request we had! Everything was just excellent! From the vineyard with 8 different types of grape you can taste every day to the nice pool with view you can enjoy. Thank you very much!!! Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Begonia. We felt very welcome and well taken care of by Davide and Licia [the owners]. They were helpful with advice, respectful of our privacy and truly cared about our comfort. They have a large garden full of things to pick and enjoy. We were encouraged many times to pick flowers and herbs. Sadly, we did not visit at a time when much of their harvest was ready for picking. They did have a large amount of cherries they were saving for us to pick when we got there but the birds beat us to them! We stayed during the last week of May so it was too early in the season to take advantage of the beautiful pool. It is heated, like it says in the listing, but it is heated by solar panels and it was overcast during most of the week. If we could make the trip over again, we would certainly choose to visit in July or August.
