Positive: The property is a beautiful historical home with gardens and very friendly hosts. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of wine. Our host arranged for us to visit a nearby winery and accompanied us. We do not speak French, so we did have a little disadvantage. We didn't realize what a great location this was in the heart of Bourg wine county. We would have liked to spend more time as there was so much to see.

Negative: I can not think of anything You do need a car for this property as there are no restaurants or stores within walking distance. We had a car so it was not a problem for us

Positive: Vivienne is a great host and helped us at all times. She had good restaurant and excursion recommendations. The Villa is beautifully decorated inside.

Negative: The grounds this early in the season were looking a bit sad with tennis court and pool unusable.

Summary: Good value & location for visiting the wider Bordeaux wine areas.

Positive: The apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you would need for a few days or longer, including fully equipped kitchen, and parking. The location was excellent for visiting the local wine regions and artisans. The owners were extremely hospitable. will be recommending Villa Bacchus to our family and friends.

Negative: nothing to dislike

Summary: Stayed for 4 nights in January 2024, wish we had booked for longer.
