Positive: Where to begin? If I had to sum up our two-week stay, I’d simply say: it was the perfect family vacation in an amazing villa, on the stunning island of Karpathos. 1. The Villa: Spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped—this villa is ideal for a family with two or more children. The “infinity” pool may be on the smaller side, but it’s deeper than expected, making it fun and safe for both kids and adults. The view from the pool is breathtaking, overlooking the valley with the town of Pigadia shimmering in the distance. Parking was never a problem—there’s an easy spot just about 20 meters from the gate. 2. The Setting: The villa is tucked away in a very private and peaceful area. We truly appreciated the quiet, the sense of seclusion, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature—yet we were never too far from the island’s main attractions. 3. The Hospitality: What truly made our stay special was the incredible hospitality. The owner and his kind mother made us feel completely at home. Every few days, she surprised us with lovely local treats—fresh eggs, bread, or homemade loukoumades. These small gestures added so much warmth to our experience and made us feel genuinely welcome. ⸻ We loved every moment and are already thinking about coming back. Highly recommended for families looking to relax, explore, and enjoy the true spirit of Karpathos.

Negative: The comeback to reality was hard. That good it was.

Positive: Location and views from the property and pool area was out standing. The very friendly host provided all that was needed for food preparation cooking and a good sized fridge and freezer. Outside there is a nice covered area with table chairs to allow alfresco eating and playing games . The local friendly Taverna ( about 10 mins wander ), in the village provides good local cuisine . In short an excellent stay in a tastefully upgraded furnished house which reflects the build year of the house 1860. highly recommended . You will not be disappointed ….

Negative: The provision of a bbq has understandably been withdrawn In accordance with a new island wide ban re recent forest fires etc

Positive: The villa is perfect for a relaxed stay in Karpathos. It is well equipped, offers more than enough space for 4 people and the view is absolutely stunning. You live in a quiet neighborhood in the mountains, a light wind and a fantastic pool are the perfect conditions to enjoy your day. The city and some of the most beautiful beaches of the island can be reached by car. The hosts are really friendly and will take care of their guests. All in all: 10/10

Positive: Really lovely house with stunning view. The interior and outdoor space are both very stylish and cozy. Each bedroom has an AC unit which works well. Kitchen was well-equipped. The host left us some bread and wine as a welcome gift which was very nice. His mother also brought some eggs and a tasty dessert halfway through the week. The location was great in a quiet village in the middle of the island. It is well-situated to get to Pigadia, several beautiful beaches, and even remove parts of the island like Olymbos. You definitely need a car. There were also a lot of very cute cats around! Our tip: buy a bag of kibble so they don't bother you for your dinner;)

Negative: It is a bit cramped for 5 (or 6) adults because there is only one bathroom and only two lounge chairs by the pool (there are other seats so this may not be a problem if not everyone is into sunbathing). We think it would be perfect for two couples, three singles, or a family with two adults and a few kids. There are two separate bedrooms plus one loft with a double bed above the kitchen. Finding the house upon arrival was a bit challenging. There is a sign with "Villa Anastasia" at the turnoff but it is easy to miss in the dark. Once you have gone down the turnoff you park your car there and take the little footpath by the sign with Agia Sophia(?) on it. We figuered it out, but it would be helpful to give clear instructions before arrival. A final small thing: the wifi could be improved, as it was quite slow and did not reach some of the bedrooms. There is a tourist tax of €3 per person/night that you need to pay in cash.

Positive: Beautiful villa in a quiet little village. It has everything you need and is close to some of the best beaches. Also a plus are the friendly cats wandering outside. To help their lives to be at bit more easy you can feed them when you're there 😉

Positive: Anna and Manolis are so friendly and can’t do enough to help. The house is wonderful and is set on the edge of a beautiful village - walking distance to a great taverna “Klimataria”. Within 15 minutes drive you can be in Pigadia for larger supermarkets and great butchers if you want to use the lovely bbq at the house. The pool is wonderful for a refreshing dip and the views are stunning, the house has everything you need and we miss it already! It’s super clean and has lovely personal touches, it feels like a home rather than a standard villa and it is clear that it is loved. So nice to be in a village and not in a resort, surrounded by Greek people and not us tourists! Loved it all so much, the peace, the garden, the village, loved Karpathos and can’t wait to return.

Negative: Only one tiny improvement would be to have more comfy cushions and padding on the area around the table outside by the pool and on the bench on the rooftop terrace.

Positive: Met our expectations completely. Very nice and clean house. Wonderful wiev, some of the islands best beaches reached within 20 minutes by car. Located in the mountains, the evening breeze provides pleasent coolness. We’d be happy to return.

Positive: Beautiful house and location - amazing views, a lot of attention to detail, all very comfortable and spotless. Absolutely lovely!

Negative: We struggled finding the house (and keys!) when we arrived in the dark and no one was there to meet us, we had to phone a couple of times for help. Better signage would be really useful. We arrived out of season (early November) and in the dark and we couldn't get basic supplies until the next day, a warning of this would have been greatly appreciated so that we could have come prepared. Otherwise we had a great time in beautiful Karpathos.
