Positive: Villa Amavi is simply wonderful. The quality of the villa is exceptional with wonderful views across the island. The villa itself is incredibly well equipped with everything you could ask for. There was regular cleaning of the villa during our stay which was highly appreciated. The owners were so generous providing a number of lovely gifts of food, fruit & drinks on arrival and throughout our stay. They were attentive to our requests and quick to act upon them with excellent communication through the Booking.com app. Also the tavern across the road (Earino) is perfectly situated, offering lovely food and great service. I would highly recommend this villa and just wished we could have stayed for another 10 days!

Negative: The location is a little remote (approx 35 mins from Heraklion) across the hillside with some tight roads enroute. Large supermarkets are also same distance away, although some smaller one are available in the local villages.

Summary: I would give this villa 6 stars if I could - stunning!

Positive: Excellent facilities and very helpful host. Location was around 30-40 mins from Heraklion town centre but the host provided us with a very reliable and friendly taxi service. The standard of the villa and helpfulness of the host made it a very enjoyable stay.

Positive: We were greeted at the property with a lovely welcome basket containing local products and a fridge stocked with fresh fruits, water, pop drinks and wine. Everyone was so friendly, extremely forthcoming and really just wanted to make sure we have the best time at the property. The property itself is just the perfect location to get away, relax and unwind. Situated in a calm, remote area the everyday stress is literally left at the doorstep. The bedrooms are perfectly sized but you will spend your time in the living room and the outdoor area anyway. The bathrooms are very clean and very modern. The highlight by far is the outdoor area. There is a huge dining table to enjoy evening dinners or a relaxing morning breakfast taking in the gorgeous views. The holiday is really made complete with having a coffee in the morning at the table and starting the day the most relaxing way possible. The sofa corner and the lounge chairs are extremely comfortable and just heighten your relaxed and chilled feeling. All kept very modern and clean. The pool has recently been added to this updated property. Its absolutely gorgeous as well. Not made for a workout swim but purely for your holiday enjoyment. Exactly what we were looking for. There is a very good restaurant across from the property (20 second walk), which serves authentic greek food. I highly recommend a visit! We went several times, absolutely loved the food and basically went straight to bed after each visit as we just couldnt stop trying every single food on the menu,

Negative: I would have to be extremely harsh to find anything negative. Yes, the pool is not heated but it wasnt a big issue. Like with any outdoor pool, you will get used to the temperature very fast. Especially during peak summer, this will be a welcome trait. The location is a bit remote. However, we were specifically looking for that to get away from the hussle & bussle. To be super nit-picky, he pillows are a bit on the firm side and there were no scissors in the property. But I will gladly accept this if I got to stay there again.

Positive: Want to book but can't find reviews? I did the same, but took a chance. The risk is justified - the villa is located 30 minutes from Heraklion, on the way you can meet the signs and drive safely - large, clean villa, with all the amenities and more: all bedrooms have a balcony and air conditioning, TV with YouTube / Netflix. - a great pool area, sun beds, a table for food, coasters in the form of stumps on wheels. - throughout the villa, views from the windows to different sides of the mountains, as in the pictures. - Grill area with all accessories. - parking right next to the villa - Opposite a good tasty restaurant with mountain views. separately, I want to highlight the owner of the villa - an example of how you can behave with guests. Unfortunately, my bank blocked the transaction with the card and I could not pay for the stay. to which the owner replied - "you can pay on the last day!)". I feel like he doesn’t even need money😂 we agreed on a transfer :) special thanks for the raki drink and for the pastries for grandmother!) besides that, he left a bunch of different goodies in the fridge! the result is this: I liked the villa and the owner more than the whole island of Crete :) recommend
