Positive: There was accommodation and food. Oh and the washbasin had a plug which is unusual.
Negative: The room had been cleaned after the last occupant, but that was clearly some time ago judging by the number of dead flies by the window. Overall the area was a bit depressing.
Summary: Area felt unloved

Positive: Though the whole complex has the air of a resort from the Communist era, it turned out things are far better than I read in older comments. The room was quite big, with a nice huge balcony, and the bathroom was modernized and had a big tub. Everything was clean (though we've found two lost so ks in one of the wardrobes). We ate at Iadolina restaurant and the food was also very good, big servings well cooked. The breakfast was satisfying, too, and the waiter was very polite and prompt. There aren't many accomodations in Stâna de Vale, which is a very small resort, but ours was the right choice.

Positive: The environment is great, fresh air, nice views, quiet. We had a comfortable appartament large enough for 2 people. Bed was comfortable and clean, large bathroom similar. Living room with nice view over the mountain, and we could step out to a large private terrace with a table and chairs.
Negative: Kitchen equipment was a bit scarce, no water boiler or cofee machine. The chairs on the terrace were dirty.
