Positive: Five stars for our hosts. They were very nice, friendly and helpful. We arrived by bus to Tetovo and there is no local bus connection, so they took us to Popova Shapka in their own car and they even took us to grocery store on the way because the small shop in Popova Shapka is only open in winter. Then they helped us to call a fairly priced taxi back. The vacation house is old, but nice and comfortable. It has a fully furnished kitchen, a dining room with comfortable sofas, a bedroom with a balcony located upstairs.
Negative: The bathroom. This is what really spoils the overall impression. It is falling apart in some places and it smells of mold. The shower is tucked in one corner, there is no curtain and no shower squeegee, so everything stays wet after showering. I felt uncomfortable using it every time. It needs a thorough reconstruction. With a decent bathroom, even if tiny, this could be a good vacation house. One more thing about Popova Shapka: the whole village is overrun with packs of huge and hungry feral dogs. Our hosts told us to always carry a stick. This worked for us and the dogs left us alone. But if you are afraid of dogs, stay away from this place. I guess the village must solve their dog problem if they want more tourists.

Positive: If I could give it an 11 out of 10, I would! The property is truly recommendable. There's plenty of space for two people – a dining/sitting area downstairs next to the kitchen, and a sitting area upstairs next to the bedroom. The bed is huge and comfortable. The balcony is a plus, with a lovely view. The kitchen has all the basics you need, so you can easily prepare meals if you want. The heating is very efficient, so it's no problem if it's chilly outside. The TV is connected to the internet, and streaming works fine. Before arriving, we had no idea that there wouldn't be any shops open in Popova Shapka, and the only restaurant open (out of season) only opens until 4:00 PM. Fortunately, the owner was incredibly helpful and did our shopping and brought it back to us. This saved us from starving. Thank you! 😃
Negative: There was no heating in the bathroom and it was a bit cold there in the morning.

Positive: Одличен престој! Апартманот беше многу чист, топол и удобен, совршен за одмор после ден на снег. Локацијата е одлична, блиску до ски патеките и со прекрасен поглед на планината. Домаќинот беше многу љубезен и секогаш достапен ако ни требаше нешто. Дефинитивно би се вратиле повторно❤️
