Negative: the staff was not helpful. the drive down the coast was harrowing. we were given no directions back to cabo upon departure. no maps. not even verbal directions. the gas water heater in our room was leaking.

Summary: the location is beautiful. the food was good. short on road directions and gas leaking.

Positive: Beautiful serene and remote place. Super friendly staff and accommodating. We could see whales all day from decks and wall to ceiling windows. Great beds. Modern architecture. Heavenly peaceful.

Negative: It is over an hour on a dirt sandy road. The beach is deserted so be careful with rips and undertow. Restaurant at property is all you have to do good food but pricey. Drinks expensive and weak. Charged us for coffee.

Summary: Remote bliss but be sure you want to be isolated.

Positive: Location - away from the crowds and a great intro to Baja California with plenty of shake sightings. Hector was a great host and Alberto tops with the food

Positive: We had stopped for lunch at VidaSOUL during a 2024 bike packing trip and were thoroughly impressed by the hotel and its staff. We cycled the Cape Loop again in January of 2026 and made a point of booking a night. The hotel and the staff (especially Hector) were as great as we remembered The food was exceptional (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast). Will definitely be back if our travels take us to the area.

Summary: Fantastic! A luxurious boutique hotel that will not disappoint.

Positive: Very quiet and serene with amazing beach views being right on the beach. The setting is perfect for a quiet stay. The kitchen staff were great about making food I was able to eat and accommodating my requests. It’s a really beautiful location along this part of the Cortez sea.

Negative: The road in is a bit daunting. I suggest taking the road right up the coastline from San Jose Del Cabo harbor. Of the three it’s the best. The road over the foothills is hard to follow and a bit treacherous especially in a reg car. An suv or off-road vehicle would be best. For any of the routes. The road to and from Cabo Pulmo is slow and tedious. If you have the right off road vehicle the road would be fun.
