Summary: Clean room but slightly dated appearance

Summary: The rooms are definitely outdated. Chipped paintwork everywhere, showerhead needs some deepcleaning (could barely wash my hair with the amount of water coming out of it). It is an expensive hotel for what you are getting.

Summary: The staff is way too courteous in this hotel. Valter made sure that our stay was perfect, and help us book some nice tours. Everyone was really polite and helped cover the few shortcomings the rooms had.

Summary: The property was clean, convenient location walkable to funchal main areas, view from room was 6* if you want an ocean view you wont beat it. Bed was comfortable and housekeeping were great. Cons: it is very plain and sterile. There is not personality or atmosphere. It does not feel like 5*Luxury, other than view I would rate it more of a 2.5 star. The food was okay, buffet didnt really have much change so it became very repetitive after a while and we ended up spending money to eat out. The grill restaurant was awesome.

Summary: Very nice resort. Clean and big rooms. Breakfast and dinner buffet with a lot variety of food. During our stay was my wife birthday and the management of the resort surprise us with a cake and a bottle of sparkling wine. The resort is in good central location. Thank you so much Vidamar Resort for making us felling at home.
