Positive: My husband and I had a fantastic stay, filled with everything we could possibly ask for. Staff was extraordinary service minded, friendly and helpful. We prolonged our stay because we loved the experience, staff and place so much. Everything was top notch: service, staff, breakfast, dinners, beds, SPA-experience, room, area etc. We will definitely come back. Thank you to Team Schloss Berg!

Positive: - it is clean - bed is nice - staff in the morning at the breakfast and during daytimd at the lobby are really nice and helpful - Breakfast is good, nothing too special - views from the hotel could be wonderful, depening on which terrace you can sit - daily news/updates on weather and stuff are a nice gimmick - ‘travel pack’ for the road when leaving

Negative: A couple of things we disliked, of which the evening staff at the hotel lobby and lobby bar is really concerning - evening staff: one night we were ‘offered’ water for the room and although we said we still had water that’s in the room when arriving, the bartender insisted on ‘giving’ some water. We then saw it was billed for ‘only’ €9,00. Bummer, but okay. Other night I politely asked, another, bartender if there was a misunderstanding as I ordered a different beer than I got. Also said it was not an issue. He disagreed, then another lobby guy came and started to make a fuss when I, again calmly, suggested the English menu should be changed. He started screaming and walking away ‘We have to change a lot around here’. Really weird and scaring - facilities: maybe we were here just at wrong time and wrong place, but be careful when you travel and check what is open. During our stay only the lobby bar and restaurant Bacchus were open. The pool bar was closed, just as the other bar and restaurants. When sitting outside the pool area (only terrace where we could sit in the sun), the lobby bar is a bit of a walk. Furthermore, during our stay there was no food available between 6PM and 9PM other than Bacchus. Bacchus has really good food, but it is on the expensive side. So, if you want a light meal or just a snack, you don’t have any options during that window. Unfortunately for us, restaurants in town were also closed - room: it is advertised with having a ‘view’. Our view was on the parking lot. Either make a distinction in advertising different rooms, or don’t advertise with this usp. Bed was nice. Rest a bit outdated and weary. E.g., holes in the curtains, toilet sometimes issues with flushing - view: the terrace at Bacchus has a really nice view, but unfortunately, that was closed. There’s also a terrace outside the swimming pool, but you cannot see the surroundings.

Summary: Underwhelming, facilities closed, rude evening staff

Positive: We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years and it never fails to delight us. Some of the staff greeted us like old friends even though this was our first visit since 2021. The food and facilities are all superb. As with all great hotels its is the staff that make it special.

Negative: If only the beer garden was still open 7 days a week!

Negative: Thinking about a 5 star hotel restaurant & an open buffet breakfast, we couldnt find much options to eat at the breakfast. Plus most of the pastries had finised around 10:00am (although the breakfast continues until 12:00 during weekends, pastries finished quickly and when i ‘ve asked to the kitchen they said that that was it, so we couldnt eat)

Summary: Price&quality ratio was okay.

Positive: The room was large and comfortable. The staff I spoke with was also very nice.

Negative: I was a little taken aback. I was expecting something more for a 5 star hotel. I wasn't really so impressed by the restaurant or the breakfast which were really highly vaunted. The bathroom and bedroom are also very similar to rooms I've had at Hiltons and Marriots, which are 3 star establishments. Nothing was unclean or uncomfortable, just not what I would call 5 star. It's also distanced from other things and they stop taking dinner orders quite early.

Summary: Fine, Comfortable, but a little lackluster
