Positive: It was the perfect getaway away from everything. The location was peaceful and private, with nobody to bother us. The house had everything we needed for both a short or an extended stay. We even had a little visitor in the bathroom—a toad! It was quite amusing getting it back outside, but that’s all part of staying in such a beautiful, secluded location. Listening to the river, birds, and other wildlife was incredibly relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we would definitely stay here again.
Negative: The only thing worth mentioning—and it’s not a negative, just something to be aware of—is that there is little to no mobile phone signal. We weren’t prepared for that at first, but in the end it turned out to be the best thing ever. It helped us completely switch off from modern distractions and truly enjoy the peace and quiet.

Positive: A classical farmhouse in a decent shape and condition. There is one bedroom and a living room with a fireplace on the first floor. On the same floor you can find a kitchen, with a classic cast iron wooden stove and an additional electric stove, where you can cook or reheat a meal. The kitchen itself is fully equipped with various utensils. Dishwasher, coffee machine and an electric tea pot are also available. Last but not least, is a bathroom with all conveniences and hot water supply. The second floor is mainly a one huge bedroom with several beds and a tiny fireplace. Also, there is a balcony. Outside the house there is a terrace with a long wooden desk and a couple of benches. Next to the terrace there is a BBQ place. On the same land spot there is a classical wooden bath house, which you can order for an additional price. The grass around the house was nicely cut, so it was safe to have a walk.
Negative: Farmhouse is located close to another farmstead with rather noisy neighbors (they were cutting grass on their land spot both days). Access to Venta river is blocked by the same neighbor’s land. You can walk on the lane till you hit the warning sign about private property and a statement you are not welcome. Both frying pans were in a poor shape, as well as the BBQ. Be prepared, that there is no Wi-Fi! Additionally, there is a poor cell phone coverage (expect no more than -110dBm of 4G).
