Positive: My wife wanted to "live like a local" on our 1 week trip to Traverse City. We had stayed at the usual hotels along the crowded shoreline area of the city. VasaVisit was as local as you could get. This small home, nestled in a heavily forested part of Traverse City, in a very, very, very quiet part of town, and only 5 minutes drive from a brand new Meijers Supermarket, and only 14 minutes drive from the airport, we really felt like we were locals. We really liked the washer and dryer especially in the house because it allowed us to pack very lite. My wife doesn't like to eat out in restaurants because of the expense so we just loaded up the car with a week's worth of groceries from Meijers and cooked at VisaVisit saving a bundle in expenses. The kitchen was well stocked with more than enough cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, etc. Also has a full size refrigerator/freezer. We really like seeing lots of wildlife too around the place - ton's of squirrels, deer, birds, etc. One morning we had 3 squirrels looking through the sliding glass door at us on the back porch.

Negative: We found our bed a bit small (not restrictively too small) for the two of us (we are used to king size), and we're kind of small people (my wife is 4'11" 116 lbs, and I'm 5'7" 135 lbs) , but the bedroom is the size that wouldn't allow a bed any larger than that one I think. So if two people were pretty good size they might find it a bit tight for two.

Summary: Great experience - lived like a local, saved a ton of money on food, got lots of quiet sleep.
