Positive: The staff were great people and helpful all the time. It was quiet there.
Negative: Sorry owners, but I have to be blunt about this. The location was difficult due to the road problems in Vanuatu, ie, enormous potholes by the thousands. The bar along the beach pretends to be wonderful, but it's rundown and grubby. The beach is grey, coarse sand, and the seawater is like the Ganges, brown and not fit to swim in. Definitely not like any Pacific Island white-sand beach we've experienced before. The room was comfortable and clean, though, so not all was bad.

Positive: The location is fantastic, right on the beach and away from the Port Vila town centre. The apartment was spacious.
Negative: The property needs maintenance. A number of items that didn’t work properly or not at all but they weren’t major. We found the beds to be uncomfortable, not sure if the mattress was an inner spring.

Positive: We were in the 4 bedroom apartment with plunge pool at the back of the resort. Excellent location of resort, right on Mele Beach, close to Beach Bar and Hideaway Island. Easy transport into Port Vila via bus stop just outside the resort. Outdoor area in our apartment was particularly lovely and comfortable, lovely to sit in private plunge pool with a glass of wine at sunset. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Most facilities were provided for self-catering. There was also a small shop close by in Mele Village, where basic supplies could be purchased. The free breakfast options were not extensive, but they were good size portions and very yummy. The homemade bread was delicious!!! Good value for money, we absolutely enjoyed our time here.
Negative: Apartment was a bit run down and could do with a few more homely touches. Eg Couches were grubby, there were no bedside lamps in any of the bedrooms, the outdoor bathroom was really icky, only one of the three indoor bathrooms had hot water. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped, eg only a couple of pots and pans, very little crockery, no oven trays for cooking - it made it a bit difficult to self cater. Unlike the other newer units in the resort, ours did not have a dishwasher or a coffee machine. There was a washing machine, but washing powder was not included, we had to purchase our own. Room was advertised as including an in-room safe, we couldn't find one. Door handle in the bathroom came off in my hand. It's a really nice and spacious apartment, which could be made really beautiful with a tiny bit of TLC and a few more thoughtful touches, such as some outdoor sun lounges for the private deck.

Positive: Relaxed and friendly location and people. Staff were so lovely and a pleasure to interact with. Property was well set out and very spacious. All amenities you needed on one location. Carol who drove us around was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Very informative and gave us some great tips. Such a pleasure.
