Positive: location and view of coast very good. Room etc comfortable. Host very good at suggesting places to dine and to have reservations.

Negative: while room set up appeared to be like a quasi self-catering there were no basic utensils or even a kitchen towel etc. That area of the unit just seemed like it had been something else before and wasn't sure what it was now.

Summary: Good location for an overnight stay in advance of Ferry to Orkney.

Positive: Location was brilliant, on route from the East coast to the West coast, with open countryside views towards the sea. The room and property were beautifully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. Great breakfast choice (to be booked with hosts not online) served in a lovely large dining room overlooking the beautiful gardens. Hosts very friendly and took us to meet and feed their sheep and highland cows. Very welcoming and relaxing place to stay.
