Summary: The location of this beautiful and comfortable condo is heaven for the golfer. Its heaven for the non golfers as well. The pool area, spa are gorgeous but also so close to so many things to do. The view from the balcony with the afternoon sun made for restful pauses while getting a little more Vit D. Great fun. Everyone is already planning to return.

Summary: Overall the condo was very nice. It was extremely clean and had many extras in the kitchen and cleaning supplies. The back porch of the condo overlooked the pond and one of the golf holes. We even saw a big alligator sunning on the ladies tees and then return to the pond. Our only disappointment was in regards to using the golf course and the driving range. We informed them at the Pro shop that we were not members of the condo and asked if we could pay a public rate. They informed us only if we had the member stay and play with us. That was disappointing, I am not sure we would have stayed if we had known that. The owner was very responsive when we had questions.

Summary: This was a great condo and area to stay in. Very, very clean. Pictures reflect what the condo and furnishings are like. Kitchen is well appointed. King size bed is comfy. Electronics are updated and nice. We spent many hours on the lanai. Quiet, beautiful sunset location, interesting golf hole to watch from the lanai. This condo is one of the better located condos in the complex. We swam at both the small community pool and the larger clubhouse pool. Both were heated and quite nice. Not overly crowded. My only complaint would be to add a few more hangers in the condo, which isn’t a big deal and perhaps a few more spices in the kitchen. The area itself is quite nice. We had no trouble getting on both courses. We did stay in November though. Winter months we did hear that some residents had issues with the amount of times they could golf. There is a lottery system now and your account should be set up 2 weeks before arrival. Staff at the clubhouse in the administration area help you with that. Do that before you arrive. All staff we encountered throughout the complex were very helpful. The owner is great to work with. Answers any questions you have quite promptly. We would rent from this owner again. All in all a great spot and we would return again.

Summary: We recently spent 30 days at Eric’s condo. We are a retired couple who wished to stay within Lakewood Ranch on a golf course with access to nearby amenities (pool, clubhouse, workout facility, ample walking/biking options, golf) & activities within & around Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton & Sarasota. In addition, the property needed to be clean, well maintained, reasonably appointed, 2 BR & have a responsive owner/manager. When exploring our options, Eric’s condo appealed to us based on its advertised features & accompanying pictures and Eric was promptly responsive to our inquiries. On check-in day, we expected to arrive a little early (2pm vs 4pm) & contacted Eric about a possible early check-in. He got back to us quickly with the access code with the understanding his cleaner might be finishing up. By the time we actually arrived after 3, his cleaner had left but we appreciated Eric accommodating us. When we entered, we were very pleased with the cleanliness & appearance of the condo, its furnishings & amenities. Everything was exactly as described & advertised. After check-in, we had no further need to contact Eric. The VRBO site & instructions we received before arrival provided most of what we needed & we figured out the rest. That said, I encourage Eric to consider leaving a welcome to the condo “cheat sheet” with a reminder list of basic information about the condo, Lakewood National & Lakewood Ranch to help other renters more quickly settle in & familiarize themselves upon arrival. During our stay we were able to genuinely relax at the condo, made use of all the amenities at Lakewood National & enjoyed a host of nearby activities, events & offerings within the various Lakewood Ranch properties (Main St, Waterside, Legacy golf course) & surrounding communities. In summary, we were very pleased with our stay & rate it 5 star across the board, but have few final thoughts for others to consider: 1) If you plan to golf, you really need to familiarize yourself with the lottery system used to make reservations well before you arrive. The 2 courses are great & practice facility is tremendous! 2) The only dining available was the Tiki Bar at the pool. The main clubhouse is still under construction. Minor issue to us. 3) Lakewood National is 20 minutes to University Mall, 45 minutes to downtown Sarasota & an hour or more to the beaches. Not being a golf couple, we did a lot offsite & hadn’t factored this into our condo selection.
