They even arranged for a delightful birthday cake to celebrate my special day in the stunning Sahara Desert, which made the experience even more memorable. One of the highlights of my arrival was the camel ride to the camp. It was an exciting and unique way to start the adventure, allowing me to soak in the breathtaking desert scenery. Additionally, I had the chance to try sandboarding in the dunes, which was an exhilarating experience! Gliding down the sandy slopes was so much fun and added a thrilling element to my stay. The camp itself is a luxurious oasis nestled in the heart of the desert. It’s new and exceptionally well-equipped, offering all the comforts you could desire while still allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings. The tents are beautifully designed, providing a perfect blend of elegance and adventure. Positive: We just came back from a 2 week Morocco adventure and stayed 2 days with Hassan and his crew. We toured from the desert to the mountains and this stop was our best. The dome-tent we had was the picture of 'Glamping' and our second day Jeep tour of around 50km to visit Nomads etc was well worth the surprisingly small fee we paid. It was great value. We met, as other have said at the Camel House for our pick-up to the evening camel ride to camp. During the second day Jeep tour when it was complete, we made our way back to the Camel House for a swim and a chance to order food and drink (you pay the camel house if you want that) and when the evening set in and the temperatures were cooler, we went back to camp again. We opted for the second night to just take the jeep back to camp and on the way we saw that evening's new stays at the camp climbing a rather large dune, so we also stopped and made our way to the top of it as well. On our final day we made plans for a camel ride to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately the clouds did not stay away but it was still a great send-off for us and this stay. The food was plenty and delicious and what was supposed to be hot, was hot. Everything was perfect. We were treated kindly and all we had to do was ask for something if we wanted it. I cannot imagine you getting any better service from any other outfit in the desert. I unreservedly recommend Unique Desert Camp.

The tents were not only spacious but also surprisingly cozy, each with a private bathroom, charging points, and even prepared air conditioning instead of the traditional tent setup. Riding camels through the dunes at sunset felt like a scene from a movie—it was absolutely magical. The staff were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their faces. After dinner, we loved gathering around the fire to enjoy some music; it was such a unique and relaxing way to end the day. We highly recommend this camp to anyone traveling to the Merzouga area!
