Positive: A traditional Japanese experience at a very reasonable price

Negative: We arrived in a very calm season and there was only one restaurant open in the entire municipality. Besides that, the crickets woke us up early in the morning.

Summary: As expected. Great experience, close to the combine store, the owner was so kind and responsive.

Positive: A beautiful traditional Japanese house, well preserved, but with modern amenities (air conditioning on both floors, modern toilet and kitchen appliances, washing machine). The aesthetics of the building is 10+ and the location is really good, very near the harbor, walking distance to the coffee shop and 4 markets/shops to get ingredients for cooking. The kitchen is exceptionally complete! This is important because restaurants close at 4 pm. This is a place for people who loves the simplicity of a slow life amongst beautiful ocean views, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day! The owner is super helpful and kind. Would definitely return here.

Negative: Expect a 9,000 Yen taxi ride to get in and out of Heda each way, if you are not driving your own car.

Positive: We liked that after 24 hours, it felt like home. Also the local Onsen and fish were amazing. The town was peaceful and quiet. The scenery was unforgettable.
