Positive: Ununara Villa was amazing! The private pool was wonderful! The delicious breakfast was a great way to start our day! Highly recommend!

Negative: The attendants were very helpful assisting with our luggage as we walked down the path to the villa.

Positive: The property was modern and very clean. The shower was fabulous and the location was mostly peaceful

Negative: I’m not sure why, but there was nobody to meet us when we arrived, and if a nearby villa staff member had not been present, we would have been lost. Also, the villa is down a laneway and it was hard to find the villa in the dark. You need a torch. Nearby building site was noisy at times, but that did not stop us enjoying the environment away from the busy streets of Ubud. It would have been good to have a small rack for drying clothes, and a parasol for by the pool, but otherwise we had all that we needed. The pool was very welcome after humid days, and the Netflix was a nice bonus

Summary: Enjoyable holiday in Ubud, despite being low season and a bit stormy. Make sure you have strong shoes and a torch though

Positive: Lots of space and separate outdoor kitchen area, very private and quiet and beautiful plunge pool. Very elegant and new in design and features. Included robes to wear and slippers, a beautiful little retreat. Loved the outdoor bathroom.

Negative: It was a way from town, we could walk 15 minutes to some warungs, yet found ourselves having to take the longer trip to the main town area a lot, the hill back up is a little steep. Of course gojek and grab are readily available also. No vehicle access to villa itself so have to take luggage along a 100metre concrete path and walk same when coming and going, fairly isolated, no road parking for drivers to easily wait when picking up/ dropping off. Yet all first world issues and what allows such a quiet, peaceful retreat.

Positive: Villa is nice. Spacious and clean. Was good to have a pool just for ourselves. Kitchen was useful, there was one small boiling pan and one frying pan. Liked that there is a cooler with cold and hot water, no need to use a kettle. Big fridge, well working. Spacious dining table. We took with Breakfast included and it was brought every morning to our villa. Quite average options though but it was enough for us. Most of hotels have the same breakfast so we knew what to expect. Loved the bathroom which is outside but well covered. Bed is very big, pillows are comfy.

Negative: Staff who met us upon arrival and assisted on daily basis was not really welcoming. Never smiled nor introduced himself. Not even orientation around villa. Simply brought breakfast, asked if we require cleaning today and then left. We've been to Bali many times and never faced hospitality like that. Maybe he is not local, not sure. Some cons abt the villa: for such a big room has very limited storage space. Just a small stand with two shelves and 4 hangers. For private villa i wud expect smth bigger than that. Especially when its two people staying. Shower head was loose amd leaking. We had to ask to replace it. Maybe staff needs to check facilities before new guests arrive. Table outside is right on the sun spot for breakfast time. Even though its under the roof but its not fully covered so every morning it was very hot. And there was no shade that we cud move the table as it was from the sunny side. To sum it up- The road to the villa.... If you are coming with luggage, be ready to carry it as the path is very dark, dirty and uneven. You can break your luggage or make it very dirty. Also if you taking the bike, you have to be a really good driver as its not easy to access the road.

Positive: - Very Near & Tidy. - Peaceful Location, not too far from the centre either. You do have to walk a few 100m with your suitcase as it's inaccessible by car. - Cozy & well maintained.

Negative: - Need more breakfast options for vegetarians.

Positive: Few choices for breakfast, our favourite were fluffy pancakes! All needed to do is message his the day before with your chosen meal and time you would like it to be brought to the villa. Amazing service! Villa was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. Host was very polite and friendly and also very kindly kept our suitcases in his office after check out (our flight was very late at night) Would recommend this villa :)

Negative: Honestly we have enjoyed every little bit of the stay and there was not much we did not like! (Maybe too many ants but that’s a given in Bali! 😝 )
