Positive: Very nice, bright and spacious room, all was very clean and looked new, in calm area (away from the main street), responsive host, comfortable bed, a/c, flexible check-in, parking available, in proximity to Batubulan Barong dance show in the morning

Negative: There is not much to do in walking distance

Positive: The place was immaculate and very clean, the family were so helpful and polite and i was even lucky enough to enjoy one of there balinese local ceremonies with the family. I couldn’t recommend more and i will be returning indefinitely. And even free coffee and tea!!!

Negative: nothing it was perfect for me

Positive: A beautiful and traditional homestay in a non-touristy area of Bali. This place gave me the chance to explore a part of Bali far from shops and big hotels — the real Bali. ✨ The family who runs it is super kind, and the room is spacious and clean, with everything you need for a couple of days.

Negative: It’s a bit noisy in the mornings because of the roosters, but that’s part of the experience lol. 🐓

Positive: I had a very pleasant stay at Umah Geoks. The place is owned by wonderful people, welcoming, open, and accommodating the needs and requests. They offer drinking water, and the guests can make tea and coffee. There is also access to the fridge. The room 2 I stayed in was comfortable, with a private bathroom attached. Hot shower, great water pressure, good AC, good wifi for making video calls. The accommodation is a good starting point to explore the island. A lot of shops/street food/eateries in the walkable distance.

Positive: The room in the end, I put some clothes on the family Clothes rack and they went missing. As a full time traveller I was upset as they cost a lot of money. I went back and asked the mother and she said she didn't know. I've contacted them and heard nothing back.. I'm a bit upset as the room initially wasn't the one I booked but I was offered another one which was okay. I don't understand where or why my underwear and leggings went missing?? There was no hot water either.

Positive: This place is amazing, it's part of the house of a famous Bali art master, the decorations of the différent buildings are stunning. He has his own theatre right next to the house where they hold performances. I was lucky enough to be there for a two of them that they filmed for a documentary about the master life and art. The manager of the guest house is the grandson of the master and speaks really good English and can teach you about Balinese history and culture. The master also speaks English very well and if you're lucky enough you can learn directly from him if he's around. The room was really nice, the best deal I had in Indonesia. For a price lower than most if not all homestay in Bali you have a clean room with a double bed, AC and hot water.
