Positive: If you are looking for a unique experience with nature and leave the stress of the city, UMA is the right place. Very gentle staff and a delightful experience in a paradise in the middle of the mountains. Very recommended!

Positive: The setting of Uma is absolutely stunning. If you enjoy non-stop birdsong, spectacular surroundings and a break from busy La Paz - we highly recommend Uma. The dining options were good and breakfast was healthy, with great coffee! Special mention to the lovely grey el Gato who we would have happily adopted, if it weren’t for having to fly him home!

Negative: A daily spruce of our room would have been appreciated. The transport links that we were aware of, were limited. We took a public minivan to the hotel and a private taxi back to La Paz - neither of which were great. I cannot stress enough that transport (though it may go without saying) is not an area of your travels to budget on - spend the extra and request seatbelts.

Summary: A spectacular escape from the city. Great design and incredible natural surroundings.
