Positive: The view was awesome! They included a lot of stuff for you to use like a projector and international charger adapters.

Negative: The upstairs AC only partially works it does not get cold the way it should and we reached out to the property staff about it and nothing was done. The downstairs worked great. Also lots of bugs in the place.

Positive: The views are some of the best I’ve experienced, ocean all around and you are literally on the beach. Such a cool, rustic property. The bed was also extremely comfy and the couches are to die for, for an afternoon nap

Negative: Obviously the steps are a pain, though you just need to be prepared and plan out your days. The steps allow for more of a disconnected feeling which was nice. The house keeping could certainly be better, the big jug of filtered water was 1/8 full when we arrived and never got filled up again. We kept snacks in the kitchen (sealed and in cupboards) so we didn’t have to make numerous trips up the steps… yet every single thing was tampered with by mice. No matter how well we stored it. Of course with there being mice, there were mouse droppings in the kitchenware and sometimes on the couch. When they say shack, don’t be expecting a crystal clean palace

Positive: This resort is not what it looks like, so here are the facts that may not be obvious, so you can make an informed decision. First off, the good. The beach access is direct, and your windows and doors generally open almost directly to the beach (maybe with some steps down towards it). So it's truly a beach front. The beach is beautiful, the villa is large, and you probably already know all that from the pictures of the villa on the internet. Like the resort says, this is not a hotel. So you don't get room service, or restaurant food, or anything of that pampering sort for that matter. And also like the resort says, there is a "hike" to the villa. Unless you're extremely fit, and I'm just average person, you will find climbing up and down the many steps pretty exhausting. Doable, but exhausting. And know that you have to do that in order to get access to transport (including Grab and Grab Food).

Negative: There are things that are totally not obvious. The aircon is hardly cold (and the ambient temperature can be very hot depending on when you're there). The water out of the tap is salty and not safe to drink. The bottled water provided is minimal. The utensils and dining ware is also extremely minimal. The minibar is not stocked. Getting food or water requires that long climb and then a walk or taxi to the nearby shops or F&B outlets, meaning you need to be prepared to lug bottled water back down those stairs. The shower water pressure is extremely low if you want any kind of a hot shower, and the shower itself is an outdoor shower. The drapes are a little bit worn, and a little on the side of being less clean. There is no cellular service so you're completely dependent on the provided wifi, which thankfully was relatively decent. So some tips. Remember to ask for the wifi password in advance else you'll have trouble contacting anyone once you're actually in the villa, bit of a chicken-and-egg thing there :) There is almost no (human) customer service and all arrangements are made through WhatsApp or something similar. You may also have to be prepared not to get instant responses, so make any requests ahead of time. That said, the person-in-charge is a nice and friendly person, just that you do need to be patient. Now, none of the above are meant to be a bad thing. Of course everything can be better and perhaps one could even argue that it should be better given the price of the villa, but it's not unacceptable. That said, it may be a bit shocking if there are different expectations. So hopefully this sheds some light on the experience you can be expecting and a few tips on how to make things a bit smoother!

Amazing view , nice team to help in carrying our language all the way down Very clean beach but has reefs so you better get your water shoes Everyday around 5 pm , we went for a walk on the beach towards Padang Padang beach (10 min) and watched incredible sunset on the way For food , we brought with us some snacks and ordered mainly through Grap App with delivery point (Anantara hotel)
