Positive: Absolutely everything! We travel a lot and have stayed in many beautiful places, but Ujima Lodge truly stood out as an outstanding experience. We loved the beautiful design of the lodge, which blends luxury with the surrounding nature while still feeling warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive and genuinely welcoming, making us feel more like guests in a beautiful private home than visitors at a lodge. The food was fantastic too- every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared and clearly made with care. The whole experience felt personal, relaxed and authentic, while still being incredibly comfortable and special. We loved that we could bespoke our excursions and safari there so we could also find the time to relax! Animals are free to roam around the lodge and this is what it made it extra special!
Negative: Honestly, nothing. We genuinely couldn’t fault anything! everything was thoughtfully done and we only wished we could have stayed longer!

Positive: We had the most unbelievable stay at Ujima Safari Lodge and genuinely couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Stephanie, the owner, and Frankie, the manager, made us feel less like guests and more like family coming to stay after a long time apart. The warmth, care and attention from the whole team made our stay so incredibly special. The lodge itself is beautiful, and one of the things we loved most was how immersed in nature you feel even when you’re not out on safari. Seeing zebras, warthogs and other wildlife right around the lodge was just magical and made every day feel special from the moment we woke up. The food was absolutely incredible, every meal was something to look forward to, we also had massages during our stay, which were the perfect way to relax after being out early for game drives. This was our first ever safari, and Reinhardt, our safari guide, made the whole experience completely unforgettable. His knowledge was unmatched — he seemed to know absolutely everything about the animals, birds, landscape and environment around us, and his passion for it all was infectious. We learned so much from him and felt incredibly lucky to have him as our guide. As this was our first safari, we really didn’t know what to expect, but Ujima completely exceeded everything we could have imagined. If we’re lucky enough to do another safari one day, we honestly wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else. You can tell how much heart has gone into creating this place, and it’s only going to become more and more amazing. Stephanie, Frankie, Reinhardt and the whole team truly do it justice. Thank you for giving us memories we’ll genuinely never forget. We already hope we can come back one day!

Positive: Beautiful, intimate lodge with a warm, family-style atmosphere. The rooms were lovely, the food was exceptional and the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and accommodating. They genuinely made us feel at home and went above and beyond to make my birthday special including Franky baking me a birthday cake! The different dining setups were also a lovely touch, and the game drive was a highlight.
Negative: Very little! One small improvement would be having a designated shelf or holder in the shower for soaps and toiletries.
Summary: A beautiful stay made unforgettable by the warmth, hospitality and incredible people at Ujima Lodge. ❤️

Positive: What started as a complete surprise turned into one of the most memorable lodge experiences we've ever had. We stumbled across Ujima Lodge, a brand-new gem, and decided to book a night there. From Cape Town, it's just a quick 2.5-hour flight with Airlink, making it an incredibly easy getaway. Our adventure began the moment we were collected by Sonny and Percey. The 30-minute drive to the lodge felt like a mini safari in itself. Along the way we spotted countless birds, giraffe, warthog, nyala, and even buffalo before we had even arrived! Nestled within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, Ujima Lodge offers a truly unique experience. Wildlife literally roams around the property, and we've never been this close to kudu, warthog, nyala, and giraffe. It felt as though nature was right on our doorstep. The lodge itself is absolutely stunning. Everything is brand new and beautifully designed, with an incredible eye for detail evident throughout. Every space feels thoughtfully curated and luxurious while still being warm and welcoming. The food prepared by Chef Charleston was outstanding—every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. What made our stay even more special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuine. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like checking into a lodge and more like coming home to family. Another major highlight is the lodge's location bordering the Greater Kruger area. Safari excursions take you into Kruger National Park itself, where you have the opportunity to experience the famous Big Five in their natural habitat. We left completely mesmerized by Ujima Lodge and already know we'll be back. It has instantly become our new favourite destination for a breakaway. A special mention must go to Stephanie, whose heart and soul are clearly woven into every aspect of this beautiful lodge. That passion is something you can genuinely feel throughout your stay.
