Positive: What started as a complete surprise turned into one of the most memorable lodge experiences we've ever had. We stumbled across Ujima Lodge, a brand-new gem, and decided to book a night there. From Cape Town, it's just a quick 2.5-hour flight with Airlink, making it an incredibly easy getaway. Our adventure began the moment we were collected by Sonny and Percey. The 30-minute drive to the lodge felt like a mini safari in itself. Along the way we spotted countless birds, giraffe, warthog, nyala, and even buffalo before we had even arrived! Nestled within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, Ujima Lodge offers a truly unique experience. Wildlife literally roams around the property, and we've never been this close to kudu, warthog, nyala, and giraffe. It felt as though nature was right on our doorstep. The lodge itself is absolutely stunning. Everything is brand new and beautifully designed, with an incredible eye for detail evident throughout. Every space feels thoughtfully curated and luxurious while still being warm and welcoming. The food prepared by Chef Charleston was outstanding—every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. What made our stay even more special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuine. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like checking into a lodge and more like coming home to family. Another major highlight is the lodge's location bordering the Greater Kruger area. Safari excursions take you into Kruger National Park itself, where you have the opportunity to experience the famous Big Five in their natural habitat. We left completely mesmerized by Ujima Lodge and already know we'll be back. It has instantly become our new favourite destination for a breakaway. A special mention must go to Stephanie, whose heart and soul are clearly woven into every aspect of this beautiful lodge. That passion is something you can genuinely feel throughout your stay.

Positive: I recently stayed at Ujima Lodge and honestly could not have wished for a better experience. From the moment Lee and the team picked me up at the airport, the welcome was warm, friendly and professional. Even the short drive to the lodge was exciting, with plenty of wildlife to spot along the way, immediately setting the scene for what was to come. The lodge itself completely surpassed my expectations. Set in a peaceful and beautiful location, the open-plan interior is stunning, with tasteful furnishings and authentic South African style throughout. Seeing a small family of warthogs wandering through the garden area added an extra touch of magic and excitement to the stay. My bedroom was extremely comfortable and well equipped, and I especially loved the outdoor shower — such a wonderful experience surrounded by nature. The food at the lodge was exceptional, and relaxing in the bar area with a gin and tonic in hand was the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure. I chose to go on a game drive on my first evening and felt incredibly lucky and privileged to see elephants, hippos and four rhinos. It was truly unforgettable. My only disappointment was that my stay was far too short. I enjoyed it so much that I have already rebooked and plan to return with my family, including the grandchildren. I cannot wait to go back.

Positive: The lodge was just absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful place as soon as I entered - the staff were there with cold towels to welcome me and everything onwards just was fabulous - I loved the turn down in the evening. In fact, it exceeded all my expectations. I loved the wildlife around the lodge - the little warthog family were so cute. I also spotted some impalas and we even had a zebra at the front drive way. I will definitely be back with friends and family. Oh and a special thank to the lovely massage lady who gave me one of the best massages I've had had. 10/10 for Ujima!
