Positive: Very clean, simple Japanese inn - good location in small hot spring village with wonderful hot spring baths indoor and outdoor. Superior room was very spacious. Good kaiseki dinner , substantial japanese breakfasts. Very much off the beaten tourist track - almost exclusively Japanese.

Summary: Overall wonderful authentic experience away from usual tourist destinations and upscale resorts.

Positive: We booked as half board, the hotel provide us the dinner and breakfast. Nice trying and taste great 😃. The onsen is superb, we enjoy our stay here. The hotel offering the pick up at Bessho Onsen station.

Positive: It was an amazing stay with great food, very friendly staff and relaxing onsen. The room was comfortable with a kotatsu and they laid out the futon at night. Also they provided a few local snacks, free drinks next to the reception in the morning and afternoon/evening and there was a free shuttle service to the train station. The staff were very kind and recommended some things to do.

Positive: The staff was very kind and did their best to accommodate the fact that I had broken my foot two weeks before coming. I also greatly appreciate that they contacted me a few days before to check the last details and that they picked me up at the train station.
