Summary: The staff were very friendly and courteous and the setting on the lakeside is very picturesque. Our room was very tired and in need of refurbishment and the dining area could similarly do with an upgrade. The hotel was noisy with maintenance going on in another part of the site and loud music being played on a neighbouring site from the early morning . We felt it was expensive for the quality of the accommodation

Summary: no breakfast included. we booked the Lakeview room via Expedia, and in the options there was only option of half board and full board, no breakfast option. so we assumed breakfast is included. at check-in they said breakfast is not included and we have to pay extra. with the room so costly, it really doesn't make sense to have no complimentary breakfast in it.

Summary: Had a great boat ride on the lake. Attended a wedding here and they made it look beautiful. Rooms large and great view from balcony. Staff excellent and the rate for our room was great. Food was good with lots of choice, would highly recommend

Summary: We stayed 3 days here. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. We had a pool villa which was just fabulous! My wife and daughters loved the massages. I cannot give it 5 stars because of how uncomfortable the pool chairs were. The loungers had no cushioning and the plastic lawn chairs were aged, stained, and some were cracked. I was planning on spending time at the pool reading a book while the rest of the family got massages, but literally could not sit on the lounge chairs for more than 20 minutes. Management needs to upgrade these and buy some cushions. It's a simple solution and inexpensive solution when all else is good!

Summary: We enjoyed Backwater Resort very much. We stayed 1 evening before an overnight houseboat trip. We enjoyed the resort so much we returned for another day just relaxing. The staff are all super accommodating and everyone greets you in passing. 5 star service. The rooms are done very well with real wood furnishing. It is isolated from the city but so quiet and relaxing. Finally, great lake views.

Summary: Extremely friendly staff who greets you each time they sees you. And they are very accomodating, helping me to book taxis and tuk tuk for my excursions around the area. The rooms are big and clean, very value for money. However, I would love to have them renting out bicycles for people to cycle out of the compound instead of just within the resort.
