Positive: The grounds are beautiful and the room we stayed in was lovely and spacious, it was clean and tidy

Negative: The spa facilities are not really spa facilities. The pool is small and the jacuzzi was cold. Not enough space considering the size of the hotel. The sauna is in changing room and tiny I could not use this facility when we stayed as it was too busy

Positive: The location and buildings are stunning, and the vast grounds are beautiful to walk through; deer are included for free. And the service throughtout the hotel is exemplery. We selected our stay, based on a friends recommendation, as somewhere which would deal with our awkward food allergies, and the restaurant staff were fantastic. They went well beyond pointing out what we could have and offered to re-work a number of additional dishes so that they were appropriate. If only all restaurants in the UK were this professional - and the food so good!

Negative: There is very little that could be improved. It would be nice to have proper showers in the rooms, rather than baths with showers over them, and it would be good to be able to turn on the bedside lights without the entrance hall light coming on. But this is all pretty trivial

Positive: Lovely staff, lovely location, great food. Perhaps the restaurant is a little expensive (drinks after dinner too - £19.20 per cocktail + 12.5% service feels like a lot…). Other than that, quite wonderful!
