Positive: Our host Lily was fantastic, so welcoming and happy to help with anything! She really made our stay great and even provided us with a late check out as we were leaving at 2pm. It’s low season at the moment so we had the place to ourselves, the kitchen was great, had everything we needed and there’s a supermarket right next door. Also had a fridge in our room which was really handy. We did book our tours in advance but we wish we had of booked through Lily as she provides a discount. We loved the personal touches of people who stayed there signing messages on the wall and the hammocks out the back were cute too.

Negative: It was a bit of a trek from the centre with our big backpacks and lots of hills but the whole area is similar so it’s to be expected.

Summary: Fantastic stay with a wonderful host, would definitely return!

Positive: The place is perfect for groups as it has hostel vibes, but it’s a house just for you! Lily makes you feel right at home! We really enjoyed the outdoor area as well, which is simple but great for laying in the hammocks and to sit together for breakfast, dinner ….

Positive: Loved it here, what a charming, clean, comfortable, and affordable stay in otherwise very expensive Monteverde. Well equipped kitchen, spacious common area, the most powerful (and hot!) shower we've had in 2 months of travelling CA. But the icing on the cake is Lili. She is so warm and kind, and will go out of her way to help you. Monteverde is spectacularly hilly and we knew we couldn't make it to the bus station (30 mins away) for the 4.20am bus with our huge backpacks, Lili was so invested in getting us a ride! Can't recommend her place enough.
