Positive: Gorgeous view on a working farm, accommodation is in the old barn, or stable. The pool view is crazy nice and breakfast was good, made to order eggs, cereal and yogurt served in a comfortable room in the main house. The barn room was comfortable enough, the bed was super cozy, but the bathrooms could use a face lift 70's or 80's maybe, and the whole room could have used a scrub brush, not very clean, but the linens were super fresh. Proximity to Akaora was good, 10 min drive, but that means all restaurants are about that far, except a hotel just down the road.

Negative: Could have been cleaner, not to the spick and span squeeky clean we got used to in NZ, and no soap anywhere in the room, shampoo does the trick in a pinch.

Positive: The bedroom was very spacious with a view of the lake, and the outdoor area was beautiful having been recently landscaped. Having the use of a swimming pool was a real treat, especially in such amazing surroundings and with a fantastic view of the lake. We were welcomed by our host Asher who was very helpful and provided with a very nice breakfast.

Negative: Having the bathroom on a different floor to the bedroom was a bit annoying.

Summary: A very enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings.
