Positive: Perfectly located, wonderfull hosts. Clabel asked me every morning How I liked my eggs. Pablo took me out surfing and even loaned me some cash because there is no atm machine in puerto malobrigo. After my stay they took me to the airport. How amazing.

Positive: The room was excellent, super clean and big. The parking is secure and indoors. The staff were really friendly and helpful all the time. Location is really close to the beach and restaurants. We even forgot a couple of clothes in the room and they contact us to deliver them back to us 🙌🏻

Positive: The host, Pablo, was an amazing person to work with. He was kind, generous and eager to help us . We were able to explore the surrounding area, enjoy nearby restaurants and the beautiful beach. We enjoyed our daily breakfast that was provided with our booking- delicious cooks and eggs made to order.

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: Highly recommend staying at this accommodation, it was clean, comfortable and the staff was amazing.

Positive: The beds were very comfortable, and was nice to have a TV in the room. The ladies were very friendly, and let me use their kitchen utensils to cut up some fruit. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, and it was great having the room cleaned during the day. They also had a surf rack and an outdoor shower to rinse off. I appreciated how they kept the property locked as it made us feel very safe. Great location just a short walk from the beachfront and some great spots to eat.

Negative: Surrounding area was quite loud at night with some large bangs and some very noisy dogs - nothing though that the owners can control. Our shower wouldn't stop dripping water, even though the taps were turned off completely, and the toilet appeared to have a leak as the floor was always wet. Price was expensive compared to other locations in Peru, with additional charges added on top of the room price. This seems to be the case for all accom in Chicama, a rather expensive place to visit in comparison to other areas.

Positive: Good stay. Breakfast was nice.

Negative: Unfortunately our stay was significantly marred by the overcharging of our room. Firstly they didn’t go off what booking.com said in USD and convert it. She just said this is the room rate, which was already above what we had booked. We were then charged an extra ‘commission’. We tried to discuss what this commission is for and they just said it was a commission. Tourists are except from the 18% VAT and she said no that’s incorrect, however we know for definite from reading government websites that this is correct. Very disappointing and ruined an otherwise nice stay. We ended up paying 82 SOL MORE than what we should have paid. There is no key into the property so you have to call the doorbell every time you want to enter. Very annoying and made us feel as though we couldn’t go out early or late.
