Tucked in the trees for a private setting sure to provide peace and quiet both day and night, there is plenty to keep everyone busy. Outside the house offers an outdoor hot tub, fire ring and plenty of yard for year-round fun and games. Inside enjoy WIFI, multiple TV’s, a fully equipped kitchen, central air conditioning, and just about all the cozy comfort you can imagine. The open floor plan on the main level allows cooks to be cooks and couch potatoes to be, well, couch potatoes. Get started on that book you always wanted to read or converse with family and friends by the glow of the indoor fireplace. The downstairs rec room is sure to be a hit for every age. Motivated owners. I notice new updates each time we stay there. The game room downstairs leading out to an amazing fire pit and hot tub make this house the total package. Amy and her staff are only a phone call away should you have any needs during your stay. An overall win - win!

Summary: This is the first place out of about 8 we have stayed with VRBO to which we would absolutely return. Except for the dust on the roads getting to the house from the gate (it hadn't rained for a few days according to the tow truck driver) I couldn't think of another complaint, and that's something coming from our group! It was perfect. Everything exactly as shown on the photos and the kitchen is well supplied.

We started getting together again about 5 years ago. We try to go to different places for our spring trip each year. I must say that Bluebird Day was one of the best places we have stayed in. It was very spacious and had bedrooms on the main floor which was really nice for those that don’t traverse stairs very well. The kitchen was very well equipped. The fire pit was great since the evenings were still a little cool and we wanted to sit outside. We enjoyed playing pool. There were several other games in the game room as well. I would highly recommend this home for rental.

IT NEEDS A LITTLE MORE CLOSE AND DETAILED CLEANING BUT IS A GREAT HOUSE. ALWAYS RENTING THIS HOUSE OVER MLK HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. The house was spotless on arrival. New owners have made some nice upgrades.The staff at Best of Canaan were able to get wood delivered to the house and as always were a pleasure to deal with. I have stayed at Bluebird Day more times than I can count. I plan to return again and again!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this home very much. We were close enough to the sites we wanted to see (Blackwater Falls, etc) but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to really relax and recharge. Plenty of room for us to congregate as a large group, but plenty of spaces to have peace and quiet! The only complaint I would have is that the house could use a thorough deep cleaning...we saw mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers which we dealt with (did not contact property manager). We live in the woods so we know these pests find a way in no matter how hard you try BUT that needs to be addressed. Other than that, the place was well equipped and overall a great meeting place! Would recommend and return!
