Incredible, Elegant, Luxurious and Open. This custom home is literally just forty feet from the waters of Lake Pend Oreille. Embracing panoramic views of the lake and mountains, this home is a Luxury-tier waterfront property.
Located on the North side of Lake Pend Oreille and just minutes from downtown, this home is nestled down next to the waters of Oden Bay. A love of beautiful and functional design, and a passionate connection of the outdoor beauty of lake and mountains, motivated the owners to build a home that reflects these passions. Every aspect of this home is thoughtfully constructed and beautifully furnished with a high attention to guest details -- including a 240V (EV Charger) electric car outlet in the garage!
Hardwood floors are softened with warm and colorful Persian rugs. A massive rock fireplace climbs 24' to meet the Great Room's ceiling. Truly gourmet kitchen with coffee bar and wine refrigerator. Main floor master suite overlooks the water and has its own custom fireplace, slider to patio and large bathroom suite.
Upstairs a graceful and open family room welcomes you with a Game Table, sitting area and Full sized bunk beds tucked into an alcove for overflow sleeping. Three additional private bedrooms: King bedroom with desk, Queen bed, and bunk room (four twins in two bunk beds). Ideal for family reunions, and couples or families traveling together.
Outside you'll find a large patio with plenty of seating for outdoor dining and entertainment.Large hot tub next to a sandy beach overlooks a private dock with new Sunstream boat lift. Kayaks are provided for your use and there is a fire pit on the beach as well.
Downtown Sandpoint is about 10 minutes away and you're also just 5 miles to The Idaho Club and 20 minutes to Hope. Schweitzer Mountain is just 30 minutes away -- making this an ideal home for winter skiing or summer hiking and berry picking.
*Be advised that there is only parking for 2 vehicles at this home. If you will have more than 2 vehicles, please reach out to our office to coordinate parking for additional vehicles, which will have to be offsite.Due to the remote location of this home and the amount of snow this area gets, all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicles are required. **Note: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

Summary: This house is gorgeous. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed in it. We had three families that stayed together and it fit us perfectly. The view is insane - I think one of the prettiest on lake pend orielle. The only thing that is crappy and I think worth noting is the driveway is a very narrow and steep switchback and there is really only parking for two cars. This was a big hassle for our group since we were there with four cars and a boat. We had to leave the boat trailer and other vehicles at a friends house in town. It’s a real shame, because everything else is so wonderful.

Summary: It was a fabulous place to rent to getaway with family for my wife’s 70th birthday. We will definitely keep it on our list to rent again. The house had everything you need, high end bedding, furnishings and cookware.

Summary: Our group has been skiing together since the 70's and there is a short list of ski areas we will be back to. This is one of them. The town of Sandpoint, the mountain resort of Schweitzer, and a home on Lake Pend Oreille. Yes this was our home. Not a condo. Not a house. Not suites at a ski in/ski out Hotel. Our home had room for us to spread out when needed, but always inviting us to cook together, enjoy the wine bar, sit by the fire and enjoy good conversation (and stories of the past 50 years of skiing together) and of course take some glances out the massive windows to the lake and surrounding mountains. Now that's a Great Room! I could go on about this home but need to take time to say thanks to the management team at Daugherty for the seamless stay and even finding a BBQ restaurant for us that was under 10 minutes away. They need more stars on this site for this home!
