Enjoy the magnificent mountain and water views from the covered porch overlooking the White River at the Trout Run Lodge. This newly renovated family-friendly Cabin in Mountain View, Arkansas is the perfect basecamp for exploring the Ozarks , close to all Mountain View attractions with space for 8 guests in 3 bedrooms.
The Lodge sits on a steep bluff overlooking the White River, and does not have direct river access. Public river access is available at the boat launch just 5 minutes away. It's also important to note that the cabin is accessed by a gravel road that can be bumpy in spots and may not be suitable for vehicles with very low clearance. It's not accessible by motorcycle.

This cabin is in Mountain View, just over the bridge in Izard County and located at the end of a gravel County road on 17 acres, which are shared with 3 other rental cabins. Other cabins are visible from this one, and can be rented together for larger groups. The Trout Run Lodge sits atop a bluff that overlooks the White River and has gorgeous views but no direct access. On the banks of the river are train tracks. The train comes by a few times daily and, though brief, is heard from the area though it remains mostly quiet in the Cabin.
There is no direct River access at the Trout Run Lodge, though you are less than 3 miles from the nearest Fishing outfitter, kayak and canoe rentals, and public boat launch at the convergence of Sylamore Creek and the White River. The Ozark Folk Center is a 10 minute drive and Court Square and Pickin Park are just 15 minutes away.

~Dogs are allowed, with $100 Pet Fee (2 dogs max, rules apply)

~Absolutely no UTV's, ATV’s, Trailers, or Campers allowed
~Number of guests cannot exceed the maximum occupancy as stated in the listing
~It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural and, in some cases, remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks, and opossums are common, and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pests such as ants, wasps, mosquitos, spiders, bees, flies, and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control device, but we cannot guarantee against Guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and no refunds will be made for this.

*Please clean up after your dog.
*Please do not allow your dog to bark excessively or to roam onto neighboring properties. Many of our homes are located near residential neighborhoods, and we must respect the comfort and privacy of those residents. Complaints may lead to eviction without refund.
*Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. It is also helpful to bring something (bed, blanket, etc.) on which you know your pet will be comfortable sleeping. Extra cleaning fees will be charged for furniture, blankets, comforters, etc. that have pet hair left behind.
*Please don’t leave your dog unattended for long periods of time. A crate is ideal for those situations in which you must leave. You are responsible for any damages your pet causes.
*Please ensure that your dog’s medications and immunizations are up-to-date, especially flea treatment.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Trout Run Lodge. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Excellent view of the river from the deck. Beds were comfortable. The turn onto the gravel road from the highway is in a curve and very easy to miss. The gravel road is very narrow and has some rough spots.

Summary: The property was very nice and clean. We planned to cook most meals and the lack of a dishwasher was not a big deal but it was inconvenient. Need more plastic dishes for storage and cooking.

Summary: We loved our long weekend at this home. It provided room for our family of 4 to spread out but all join together for moments on the porch or at the kitchen table. Check-in was a breeze and check out was a simple process. We had a few wasp but that is to be expected in the wooded areas. Lots to do in the area. Hiking, fishing, caverns, etc. we will be back.

Summary: Stayed 2 nights with friends from work looking for quiet down time. Spent an enormous amount of time on the porch enjoying the georgeous view and gentle breezes. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Interior exactly as pictured. I have stayed at 2 different cabins at Mt. View (different hosts). The other cabins were disappointing. Trout Run Lodge did not disappoint.

Summary: This was our first trip to Mountain View, and we fell in LOVE with the Trout Run Lodge. After a day of exploring in town we sat on the porch and watched the boats on the river and built a campfire.
