Positive: The loakation and its size of the house and rooms.

Negative: We were missing a chair was only 6 chairs we were 7. The shower door was broken, the fridge was smelling of fish and the dishwasher was full. We had a electric wire hangen down on the side of the balcony. The parking was really bad the basement apartment was holding so bad that we had problems getting ind and out. The trash container was missing so we had to go a longe way with trash to find a container to trow the trash in.

Summary: Nice house but missing things and a bit different then first showed.

Positive: Large kitchen dining and living room was very attractive and TV with a wide range of international channels was great

Negative: Access up steep steps with no lights on to show the way.. poorly signposted and parking area not at all as shown in photos. A cat was very noisy and constantly trying to enter the apartment if you opened the door

Summary: Access very difficult and no name to be seen on property. The apartment was a good size but only 2 bedrooms were set up

Positive: The house is very good and has everything you might need: an iron, a hairdryer, dishwasher tablets, laundry capsules, and coffee filters. The house was clean and cozy, with a wonderful atmosphere. The view of the mountains and the city from the windows was breathtaking. This is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Everyone was impressed! Many thanks to the hosts for their warm welcome and care. We would love to come back again.

Negative: The only thing to note is that parking can be a bit challenging since the house is located on a hillside. Cars with low clearance may find it difficult in some spots, but this is a feature of the location and not the hosts.

Negative: The parking spot wasn't good. It is built the way that while parking, we scratched our car. We could see other guests struggle with parking their cars too. The electrical cooking plata wasn't working. I smsed the host, but didn't get any response. Throughout our stay we couldn't cook properly.

Positive: This is a newly done-up apartment in a lovely location. The host sent us helpful information about our stay just before our arrival, and it was really easy to get into the property. It's basically the ground and upper floors of a house, with the basement being a separate apartment. It's clean, bright, very spacious and generally well-equipped. The area is quiet and not far from shops and restaurants in Odda. It's quite high up, and as a result the best thing about the property is the incredible view over the fjord. We enjoyed looking out over it as the sun went down, and the balcony was perfect for this. The bed in the master bedroom is very large and really comfortable, and the blackout blinds meant we weren't woken early during the longer spring days.

Negative: First off, a note that not all the photos reflect the current appearance of the apartment. A lot of the furniture that is shown isn't present, especially all that's shown in the bathroom photos. I felt that the place was less cosy than it appeared in the photographs. The driveway is currently incredibly rough with loose rock covering it. It would also be narrow for two larger cars - luckily we were the only ones using it at the time. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom the whole time, despite the window being left open and the fan being run. It seemed to come from the shower drain. A good dose of bleach should sort it out, and it would be great if some was left in the bathroom for this. There was also a sour smell coming from the air conditioning unit in the living area. The property is nicely done up overall, but there are some niggles. The fridge is often very hard to open as the door has strong suction but the handle for it is tiny and you can't open it at the side. The toilet seat in the small upstairs toilet is too big for it, and it sits too far forward. The main bedroom door doesn't fit quite right so there's quite a bit of resistance when opening and closing. There are no bedside lamps, and in the main bedroom the light is quite far from the bed so you're plunged into darkness and having to feel your way to the bed after turning it off. There weren't basic essentials for self-catering, such as salt, pepper, cooking oil. There was a coffee machine but no filter papers at all. We ended up buying a pack and leaving some for the next occupants. We understand that these aren't a requirement, but it would be really helpful and they were provided by most other properties during our trip across Norway. Other things that could be helpful are a drying rack for clothing that can't be tumble dried and some mugs with handles (none of the mugs in the apartment have handles).

Summary: A spacious property with a wonderful location and view. Would be perfect with some improvements.
