Positive: The apartment was of high standard in terms of furnishings and fittings with great sea views. The location was also very good with a short walk to restaurants and pubs in both Mousehole and Newlyn.

Negative: Hot water in the upstairs bathroom shower was temperamental so we used the downstairs shower instead.

Positive: Absolutely stunning place to stay, we couldn’t have had better and the house comfortably accommodated two families. Paul the owner was absolutely fantastic and provided us with some great tips for restaurants and cafes worth a visit. He was brilliant at keeping us informed and he was also flexible when we wanted to arrive a little earlier than planned. The house was super clean and the views were incredible. As someone who suffers terribly from insomnia I can honestly say I had my best week of sleep I have had in the entire year!

Negative: There was a security light that had a habit of going on at night, most likely movement from the bushes in the garden. Our friends seemed to be more disturbed by it than us, but we suspect it was the neighbouring property security light. I get that most people dine out when on holiday but if you do want to cater for large numbers (in our case 8) there wasn’t a big enough boiling pot for pasta and the frying pan was very small. That said there was an abundance of other kitchen items so only a small negative in the grand scheme of things!

Negative: parking was a squeeze, but that can’t be helped in that part of Cornwall.
