Summary: First two rooms were smelly from smokers. Room had no toilet paper holder, mno bath soap and possible blood stain on floor!

Summary: I just needed a safe, clean, and cheap place to sleep. The staff here are always nice. The dinner next door has awesome food.

Summary: The office staff were all very professional and friendly. My visit was due to flooding of my home from the Ohio river. I wasn’t informed until the evening of 4-3 that I needed to evacuate now, as the River was over the bank and would continue flooding the area. I haven’t driven at night time in 6-7 years, so the drive over to the hotel was extremely stressful for me. The hotel allowed my late arrival. One thing I really appreciated, was the way they spaced the hotel guests. We weren’t on top of each other. I was able to park in front of my room which was great. The room was quiet. Only negative : The room—especially the carpeting, needs a really deep cleaning. On the positive side: I booked from Wednesday evening thru Saturday. After finding out the water was receding a day earlier than expected I checked out on Friday morning to get back home to see the damage. I had paid up front and the young lady wasn’t sure if I could get a refund for the day and a half I wouldn’t be there. After waiting less than a week, I was happy that the manager gave me a credit. I will stay at this Travel Lodge in Parkersburg, WV again, as I felt safe, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.
