2 Bedroom House in Unicoi

Two words come to mind on the approach to the Wildwood Hideaway--Peaceful and Secluded. The gently curving road passes among the multi-acre residences, many of which are hidden from view, lending a highly residential character to the SunTree development. The Hideaway itself shares its cul-de-sac with one other residence (your hosts’). We welcome monthly or extended bookings with a 30% discount on the daily rate.
The Hideaway is a 2,200 sq. ft. log home completed in 1996 by the previous owner. Secreted away up a short driveway is off-street parking on two levels for multiple vehicles and ease of loading/unloading of baggage and equipment. The upper level has the main entrance, with a deck which connects the front and rear covered porches.
The Main Entrance is on the private rear Porch, with its old-fashioned swing and overhead fan. Guests enter to a fully stocked Kitchen with natural pine flooring, a sliding Dining Island for food prep and serving, and a newly furnished Great Room with vaulted ceilings.
Down a short hallway, and past a closed stairway to the Lower Level, is an expansive Master Bedroom Suite with a King Bed, Walk-in Closet, and an antique fainting Couch. All rooms have ceiling fans.
The Stairway to the Lower-Level leads to a meeting/reading/game room and a Second Bedroom with Twin beds and its own full bath and storage area. For convenience, the Utility room contains a full-size Washer and Dryer. All the necessities travelers need are furnished in the home.

Summary: We stayed for one week and wanted to stay longer. The country feel and privacy are strong points. We enjoyed watching the deer, turkeys and chipmunks. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Summary: My husband and I traveled with my sister and her friend all for various purposes. I came for a work retreat. Andy came to ride mountain bikes. My sister's friend came to house hunt as she is relocating to the area and my sister came to support her friend and reconnect with friends in the area. This was the perfect spot for all of us. The home is lovely. We felt comfortable and at home. The location was great for everything we needed. And I cannot say enough about how kind and welcoming and gracious our hosts were. Highly highly highly recommend a stay here.

Summary: Pictures do NOT do this property justice! The area was peaceful / beautiful, deer everywhere, very clean and it had everything we needed! The bed is SOOOOO COMFORTABLE, and the cabin had every amenity one could ask for! We loved enjoying coffee / tea on the covered porch. The property owners, Bill & Tina, were exceptional! They are located up the road, and were very attentive if we needed anything, but truth be told they stocked us up well so we really didn’t need to call them very much at all. They graciously picked up the trash as needed too! What a blessing. I know some people don’t like renting a place located so close to owners, believing they won’t have enough privacy, but that is NOT the case with this location. Bill & Tina were the perfect balance of being close enough if needed, but they gave us all the privacy we needed too. They very also helpful in giving us info on local restaurants, current events, & beautiful hikes; it truly was a pleasure getting to know them! They clearly took great care to upkeep their rental, and we would absolutely stay at this location again! We really hope we get neighbors like them when we finally relocate in the future!
